Stromile's a hell of a player when he wants to be. He just never seems to give a shit though. When he was a Grizzlie he'd go through stretches of All-Star level play and then just abruptly stop putting forth the effort and go back to being a liability for seemingly no particular reason. That's not to say there's no holes in his game, because he still has problems playing with his back to the basket, he has no handles nor can he catch an entry pass unless it hits him in the face, but in an uptempo offense he can put up All-Star numbers on any given night when his head's in the game. All in all he's a waste of talent though. He's like a glorified DeAngelo Collins.

There are stretches where everything can come into place and when they don't he gets down on himself, doesn't hustle and makes bone-headed plays. He has just not put everything together and doesn't have enough basketball IQ that he may never will.
Well with some regular minutes and an offense suited more to Devins strengths, he may prove to be the right side of handy if he can be bothered. Surely his agent is in his ear about this being a contract year. Surely.
with Stro taking his option, something tells me the chances of Sean being traded are much higher now...maybe.

that's possible too. I just have a feeling that if the Nets are looking for a blockbuster trade, they'd send over Sean instead of Stro, but that's probably just me.

Whether we trade him or let his contract expire, his contract is going to help us.
Yes. His value is due to his contract situation, not based on what he can actually contribute as a player. IF he is included in a deal, it will be because of the salary component.

Not to mention that this is a contract year so he has motivation to play hard. I'm not saying he'll be resigned (which I wouldn't) but there's nothing to be said reaping the benifits of talented/motivated player

Too bad they have nothing we'd want in the same salary range. How about Marcus and Swift to Golden St for Harrington? Saves the Warriors a year off of Harrington's deal (which will come in handy to sign Ellis, Azubuike and Barnes) and gets them a PG that works in an uptempo style and is insurance for Baron.
swift was actually a decent player in our team. F frank for being a bum and letting him rot in the bench. he was a beast when he wanted to.

At this point in the career, there (probably) isn't a team that will fall into the "Maybe he'll just need a change of scene and it'll work!". But there could very well be a team trying to clear some cap room.
I actually think an expiring Collins is worth more than an expiring Swift. Team player rather than someone who buts heads with coaches.
