We don't need this type of troublemaker around Beasley.

And what are the cops doing randomly searching Noah? It almost seems like profiling. I understand that a lot of cities have open container laws, but most of the times those laws are overlooked, especially on strips where there are a lot of different bars. Anyways, it seems like a lot of fans on the internet elevate players above human status. What if someone followed you around for a month, reporting on all the things you did and said? You have to remember that these guys are just as human as you.
Let's not overreact. Smoking a doobie and having a drink outside the club isn't the end of the world.
BG7 did you know Obama wants to decriminalize marijuana use? Do you want to label him a troublemaker? <div><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wQr9ezr8UeA&"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wQr9ezr8UeA&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /></embed></object></div> <div><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/cpBzQI_7ez8&"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/cpBzQI_7ez8&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /></embed></object></div> Barack Obama "I inhaled frequently" "That was the point"
I don't have a problem with him smoking weed. I have a problem with Noah being dumb enough to have a joint in his pocket. Don't set yourself up like that. Not terrible agreed, but so much is riding on this #1 pick. We don't need Beasley out partying until 2 AM smoking weed with Noah. This type of thing would never happen to Ben Gordon or Luol Deng. Hopefully Beasley emulates them instead of Noah.
Seriously, what makes anyone think they can know the private lives of NBA players? For all we know Ben Gordon could be a cokehead who beats the homeless in his free time. This is a minor crime that I'm pretty surprised even was booked in the first place. Nothing to overreact about, IMO.
While it is a trivial and stupid crime to have on the books, IMO, Bulls management (if not the NBA itself) are hard asses about this kind of thing and Noah surely has a good behavior clause in his contract that he violated. BG7's point may miss the mark by only a little. It's not generally stupid to smoke an occasional joint, but it is pretty stupid for an NBA player making $millions to jeopardize all the great things handed to them over it.

The Warriors wouldn't even exist LOL. BTW thanks for the vids shape I didn't know Obama used marijuana as a kid. Funny how people don't care when someone just comes clean, I think most Americans don't even really care about marijuana use. Certainly the younger generations don't view it like the older generations do. He sohuld have played that up more during the California caucus, he would have kicked Hilary's ass if he had the stoner vote.

At least he wasn't dumb enough to go speeding around under the influence. The NBA doesn't test for marijuana during the offseason according to Josh Howard. Even if they test positive it's a slap on the wrist. They go to counseling and treatment and pay a $15K fine and potentially face a 5 game suspension. I think there needs to be some gray area with these type of minor offenses. It's completely different if Noah were abusing drugs or alcohol and putting himself or other people in danger. If that were the case I'd have a different opinion about it, but from the article it just sounded like he was having a good time hanging out at a club. There weren't any fights, no one was carrying a gun, Noah wasn't puking up and he didn't resist being searched or arrested.

The PA negotiated lax penalties for marijuana infractions and the owners in return got harsh penalties for other drugs.

You are supposed to have a good jib cut. After a disappointing season, and tons of acts of immaturity be Noah, it is just really disappointing to see him busted for this. Also, I doubt BG is a closet coke head. Here is what I posted on another site a few days ago about how the Bulls should make Beasley be with Gordon 24/7. [At Gordon's House] Beasley: When are we going to go out, get HAMMERED and get some hoes. Gordon: You shouldn't do those things. Beasley: COME ON....lets go out and party! Gordon: Nah, I'm going to just stay here and read tonight. Beasley: Oh, man your lame. Gordon: Well if you want to go party, come with me tonight. I am going to go over to the Berto and work on my game. It'll be a real party, John Paxson will probably be there, and a 50% chance that Luol will be there! Beasley: Can we go partying after that? Gordon: Umm, no, we have to go to church tomorrow morning at 8.
I carry weed with me sometimes, whatever. Noah's just stupid. He should of had one of his friends hold it for him.
