<td><font face="verdana" size="1">Budmayr completed nearly 62% of his passes for 2,033 yards and 15 touchdowns his junio season. He committed to Wisconsin on May 20, 2008.

Budmayr has great footwork and pocket presence. He has the ability to run when protection breaks down and never rushes anything. He has a nice quick delivery and has good vision downfield. He usually leads his receivers and throws a nice and catchable ball. Tends to loft some of his throws a bit too much, which is something he should focus on his senior year. Certainly a candidate to move up a few spots in the rankings.</font></td>

Depth chart, competition among reasons for influx of early QB commits | ESPN

    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Wisconsin-bound QB Jon Budmayr (Woodstock, Ill./Marian Central Catholic):

"Wisconsin was just a good fit for me with their great academics and football program," Bodmayr said. "I prayed a lot about this decision, and faith led me to Wisconsin. Coach [Paul] Chryst is a great offensive coordinator and quarterback coach. He didn't talk about changing the whole offense around me because we actually run a similar offense at Marian. We will get under center a lot like Wisconsin and use a seven-step drop with similar footwork, but Coach Chryst has talked about running some more shotgun and zone boot to get me moving. It is something they already have in their package."</div>
