<div align="center"><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Ned Colletti revealed that he has twice approached catcher Russell Martin about an extension, and has been denied. Martin will be arbitration-eligible after this season and should add an extra zero to his $500,000 salary, at least.</div></div>

Martin the next Piazza, hopefully not. It's a little scary to think how far the Dodgers have fallen for Russ to basically say "**** off" while there are players like Braun and Hanley Ramirez who are willing to take security with teams I consider to be way inferior to the Dodgers.

Why is Colletti going to the media with this news? I wonder what they were offering him to turn it down twice.

    Man, it's nice in LA.

He should take the cash and stay right there.

Cause Colletti is dumb, I don't really think Martin will leave but I will seriously be hurt if he did. He probably either wants more money or just wants to wait. But I was shock to read that he said no 2 times!

Anyways the good thing is Kemp has said that he would love to be a Dodger for life and Loney has also said that he will listen to extensions.

What, you wanted him to say no once, and then say yes right after?

I wonder how different the two offers were.

I'm still hoping we extend him in the near future.
