Why would it be dumb to take Rose, when he's the best player in the draft, and your best PG is Kirk Hinrich

Nice of you to do the one stat that makes Rose look worse, Turnovers, per 40 mins and everything else (points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks) per game. Damn, how biased are you? Oh, nevermind.

He's not overpoweringly huge or anything, didn't lead his team anywhere, and has all sorts of questions about his background. He really fits the profile of a guy who's sure to be a very good pro, but it's questionable whether he'll be a great one. Derrick Coleman, Brand, Shareef, Gooden, Smith, etc. Guys who fit the mold of NBA PFs and get taken high, put up good stats, but haven't had a lot of success.

Additionally, attempting to knock him for where K-State finished the season demonstrates a lack of understanding of what kind of team they were. I like Frank Martin and believe he will become a good D-1 Head Coach, but he was in over his head this season. Plus, K-State lost the one veteran guy that could have taken some of the scoring pressure off of him to injury. What K-State did what they did last season should be a major plus to anyone evaluating Beasley.
