    Buffs receive first two 2009 commitments

    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Colorado football coach Dan Hawkins received his first two commitments for his 2009 recruiting class over the weekend.

    According to Scout.com, quarterback Jordan Wynn of Oceanside, Calif., and wide receiver Jarrod Darden of Keller, Texas, have given their oral commitments to Colorado.

    Wynn, listed as 6-foot-2½, 187 pounds, is rated a three-star recruit by Scout. He led Oceanside to a state championship last fall, throwing for 2,589 yards and 21 touchdowns.

    Wynn said he has also been offered scholarships by Colorado State, Iowa State, Utah, San Diego State and New Mexico; with Louisville, Wake Forest and Purdue also showing interest.</div>
