So, we not done with the Spurs, but that doesnt matter. Which team would you rather the Lakers play in terms of which team do you think is easier to play, easier to win against? I'm undecided because i dont know enough about Boston or Detroit, but the fact that Detroit beat us before and Boston have the leagues best regular season record, they're a bloody good team! So i put this to you fellow laker fans, who do we have a better chance against? Boston or Detroit?

Surprisingly enough, Boston is easier to stop on the defensive end. They, for some reason, have these lapse on offense where they just don't shoot the ball well because its a team of shooters settling for jump shots. On offense, I think we match up well with Boston although no one on Boston's squad can stop Kobe, yes not even Posey for those who consider him a defensive specialist. I also think that whoever Kendrick Perkins guards, whether its Pau or Lamar, he will have a difficult time (Lamar is too fast for him, and Pau is just great in the post regardless of whether he is scoring or not). Fisher might have a hard time with keeping up with Rajon Rondo, but Fisher has the strong body and can punish him physically. Bench-wise I believe we have the stronger bench, offensively, defensively, and with energy. Containing Boston's big three will be difficult, but it will be just like guarding the big three of San Antonio, except faster and better shooters. I just don't think the big three alone can beat us, nor do I think all of them can go on scoring bursts. I think we have to keep Paul Pierce from driving into the lane, force him to take jumpers with a hand in his face. I think we must do the same with Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen. Basically just play great defense and don't foul, easier said than done of course. Playing Detroit will be just like playing a better and looser version of the Utah Jazz. They have their shooting big men in Rasheed Wallace and Antonio McDyess. They have a good guard in Chauncey Billups, and a good shooter in Rip Hamilton. They also have a serviceable bench, bringing Stuckey, Hunter and Maxiell off the bench. Maxiell will be just like Millsap of Utah, I see them as the same type of player. Also they have Tayshaun Prince, who is a more offensive version of Andrei Kirilenko. On the plus side, Chauncey's injury is still bothering him, but only slightly, and Rip Hamilton is said to have hyperextended his elbow. Those injuries will help us beat them if in fact we do play them. Also Rasheed Wallace is one technical away from a suspension, so that could come into play, probably will come into play knowing him. I hope this helps, but to be honest even after thinking through all that, I still don't know who I'd rather play. I want to play Detroit because of the reasons above, and I want revenge for what they did to the Karl Malone-Gary Payton year of the Lakers (not that I care for those two, but I'm alluding to the year because I'm blanking out). I also want to play Boston because of the historical irony of the situation and I think it would be awesome to beat the top team in the NBA of the regular season. So does this help?
