Gilardino quits AC Milan for Fiorentina

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Italian international striker Alberto Gilardino has left AC Milan after three seasons to join Fiorentina on a five-year contract, his new club said Wednesday.

The 26-year-old, a member of Italy's victorious World Cup squad, has cost Fiorentina 14 million euros, the Ansa news agency reported.

He spent much of last season on the bench owing the good form of young Brazilian Pato.

Fiorentina, who will play in the third preliminary round of the Champions League next season after placing fourth in Serie A, are coached by Cesare Prandelli, whon mentored Gilardino for two years at Parma.</div>

Yeah they think he's going to be a great player, but I too don't agree with them. Maybe in a few years, but they shouldn't have let Gilardino go.
