Well talk about a waste of time. If anything, I wish we could've gotten blown out earlier on in the game, so I could have turned off the TV to hit the books [IMG]

We played like crap today. Kobe put up a great choke job. Good thing we have Phil, I'm sure he'll figure out something new for Game 2. For starters, someone needs to light a fire up Gasol's ass and all the other pussies we have on this team. We're also not going to win anything if we continue to get dominated on the boards night in and night out. Whatever, it's a long series, we'll make adjustments I guess

Nice sprained knee by Pierce by the way. Anyone surprised how well he returned to the court? Had that been Pau, he would've been out for 2 weeks. Pierce was out like 2 minutes

Great game. Great comeback by Pierce. Great defense at the end of the fourth quarter.

You guys still think that you'll win 4 straight and end up 4-1, winning the championship? (not asking the ones that predicted a 6 or 7 games series)

No one gave respect to the Celtics (including 99.9 percent of the tv analysts), but here we are, one down, 3 more to go.

Good luck for game 2, Laker fans. [IMG]

    I still think it's bs..

But the Celtics did hit shots when needed. Gotta give em a lil credit for that.

Still, the Lakers kept it close, with everyone playing shitty. I could see 4 straight wins. I mean, they did beat the reigning champion Spurs in 5 games, so beating the Celts in 5 isn't out of the question.

I think Doc said it earlier in the playoffs, but the series doesn't really begin until a team loses on their homecourt. As much as people were overlooking Boston, we shouldn't be congratulating them too much for this win. This was necessary if they want a shot at winning the whole thing.

Lakers didn't get blown out like they did in the regular season .. they actually played pretty well for 2 and a half quarters ...

I feel better about their chances after tonite's game, believe it or not, but that doesn't take away the sting of a loss

Wel I never thought this series would be easy to begin with. I predicted Lakers in 6, and I'm still sticking with that prediction. Before the series started, I predicted we would win one of the first two games on the road in Boston, and so far, my prediction has been right. I think we will come out with more energy in game two, and I definitely expect Kobe to play a better game. I expect Phil to lash out at some of these guys tomorrow. Phil has been there and done that. He has been in ten Finals and he has won nine. He knows what's going on and what adjustments we will have to make in order to win this thing. Remember, it's a long series, it's far from being over yet. With that being said, the Celtics played pretty well tonight, and I'll give them props for that. I expect this to be a long, physical series, but losing game 1 just makes game 2 even more important for us.

And as for my previous posts, it was just in the spur of the moment. I was just frustrated, that's all. Reading my previous posts makes it seem like the series is close to ending, when it has barely even begun.

I still have faith in this team. And I believe Kobe will bounce back for game 2. Even after such a horrendous night, we still kept things close for the most part. Like Mamba said, had we had more luck on our shots, we could've won this. Don't lose faith guys, it's only one game in a seven game series. We'll bounce back

I understand guys, and I've said it from the beginning, I really see this series going to 6 or more likely 7 games, in which case either team has a chance to win it. But I never thought or predicted that one team would be able to win 3 or 4 straight games. It will go back and forth just like the Detroit series, and then one team will have a chance to finish it in 6, or else, it'll go 7.

I want to say Celtics in 4 or 5, but I can't knowing for two reasons, one knowing how damn good the Lakers are, and second knowing that they have Kobe, the best player in the universe.

I could see the Lakers winning 4 straight because of the 2-3-2 format, other wise I would say in six. It'd be better if we finish you off sooner rather than later, so to make it more merciful.

We need this for Phil, I agree with Denny on that part.

There is only one scenario I see the Lakers losing...and that's a 7 game series.

tough game. The whole pierce injury was hella sketch.. how could someone be carried off like that and come back a couple minutes later like nothin happened?

i mean that was worse then kobe's phantom back spasms, lol.

anyways, i'm confident we'll fight back.

I knew this would be a problem starting the finals on the road. THe other series we started off at home and it really helped. Now, we start the NBA finals at Boston with all this hype, which explain LO and even Kobe's games.

Lotta people are hating on Kobe but he just had a tough night, no need to chew him out. He will be the least of our worries, he will bounce back and he and the Lakers will make the right adjustments for Game 2.

Honestly, even if we lose Game 2, I'm still not panicking. Granted, its not a situation I wanna be in, but we'll have 3 straight home games.

Injuries can be messed up, where you are in a lot of pain early on, and then it subsides after a couple of minutes and can play on it. I have had that with ankle sprains where I just lay down on the grass for 2-3 minutes and can play on it again. However it probably was not a smart idea to do so, and I it was more swollen the next few days.

IMO, the Celtics had all the luck today.

That backcourt save by KG, PJ Brown's offensive boards as opposed to Vujacic, Gasol, Radman, Turiaf taking shots that just rolled out of the hoop LOL

BTW, didnt anyone notice that the celtics stole the "Let's go Lakers" by replacing it with "Let's go celtics"?

We have to look at the positives of this game. Kobe and Odom played really bad and Gasol had a mediocre game where as Allen, Pierce and Garnett had decent games. Despite our big three playing shitty, we were 3 minutes away from winning the game. Even if two of our big three had an AVERAGE game, we would have won it. Kobe, Odom and Gasol aren't going to play that bad for the whole series and the Celtics big 3 aren't going to play that well for the rest of the series. Hell, if we would have hit a few extra FT's and some of those BS calls weren't made against us, we would have had the game.

I think Phil the rest of the coaching staff will make some adjustments and we'll take the next game. I'm still going with the Lakers in six.
