    Eh, I figure I'll let the Lakers have their glory while it's their time (rather them than Celtics or Spurs). Nets and Sonics are building up to where the Lakers are right now...
    </div>

    the Blazers too at this rate. Btw Pegs what team do you usually root for? for some reason I thought you came from the Houston forum haha (my other team).
    </div>

    Nets fan since...um 03, and Sonics fan since 95 (didn't really follow the NBA that close at the time, though), and I've followed the Nets more closely. If it was Nets vs. Sonics, I'd go Nets.
    </div>

    Ah well then since you kinda sprang up on some of us Lakers fans in here cheering for us I'd like to formally welcome you here.

    By the way, the Nets were a great team to watch back when they made the Finals back to back.
    </div>

    Haha, thanks.

    And yeah, I know...but they haven't been the same to watch since. [IMG]

    You've got Devin Harris to look forward to. That's always a positive.

    I guess there was some kind of game viewing party at Staples last night, and a Celtics fan went and got his ass beat. The dude that throws the chair is very classy.

    He didn't get his ass beat...

    There's really no excuse for what happened, but I can't say I'm very surprised. I felt like fighting someone as well with the amount of bullshit fouls being called

    I don't care about it. I'm not trying to start trouble, just thought it was kinda funny. Kid is an idiot for going anyway. The game is on TV, just watch it there and you won't get jumped and have a chair get thrown at your face.

    He probably just wanted to support his team in front of a sea of Laker fans. I don't know why, maybe he lost a bet?

    Also, I'm not condoning such behavior. A fan should be able to watch a game in the Staples safely, no matter what team he roots for. But I do understand why the Laker fans were so pissed. Trust me, the last thing I wanted to see after Game 2 was a Celtic fan...

    On the radio today, they were talking about how the Finals ratings have been piss poor forever and how the NBA would make so much money on a game 7. I would be surprised if for these next 3 games, the officiating didn't go our way. I fully expect to get the home court advantage and blatant favorism with the refs.

    As for being confident in winning this in 6 or 7 games, Boston looked unbeatable against Atlanta and Cleveland after two games...and they were pushed to 7. This series is far from over.

    But the real question is, are the Lakers better than the Hawks? [IMG]

    If the Lakers lose in 6 do the Hawks get bragging rights?

    If they were in the West they wouldn't even be in the playoffs....but theoretically...yes and no lol

    LMAO [IMG] Is that Dan Crawford?

    The NBA seriously needs to do something about this. Every season, you continue having refs dictate games like this. Sooner or later, everyone, even the general fan, will catch on with this bullshit.

    Dre is my favorite rapper/producer. Can't wait for Detox to come out. (been a long time lol)

    As for the game tonight, I think we have a 10% chance to be able to win. So good luck and enjoy the game.

    This is like the weakest crowd I've ever seen. That's what you get for turning a sport into a red-carpet celebrity spectacle.

    The crowd has been rather weak compared to other places the entire playoffs. It hasn't mattered.

    I agree with you 100%. You're not going to piss off any die hard Laker fans with that comment. I know plenty of Laker fans that prefer watching the game @ home or @ a sport's bar, than @ STAPLES. A lot of people go just because they have the money and a lot go just to celebrity watch, only a few are die hard Laker fans.

    The only time Staples Center gets loud is when they boo their own player. I believe the loudest the Staples Center has been all season was when they were booing Kwame Brown
