After the game i just saw bowen talking to kobe, i could not hear what he said but i found this on CL http://www.clublakers.com/forums/kobe-bowe...ion-t96339.html if that´s true so WOW, he really shows him sum respect.
I don't mind Bowen. He's a dirty player, but he wouldn't do anything intentionally harmful to Kobe. He's got legit respect for Kobe's game, as does Kobe for Bowen.
"I am looking for when Inside the NBA showed the interaction between Kobe and Bruce Bowen? He said something like 'You've been the best player for the past 5 years, now bring it home!" or something like that.... " -Stezz from Clublakers.com The guy at the forum said that Bowen to Kobe to bring it home? It doesn't make sense. Does he mean western conference home? I honestly think that Bowen would never say something like that. I'm sure he did give him his respects though. Did any one see the TNT post game? I would like to know what he said. Bowen played great defense on Kobe and never got called for fouls. He was amazing defending him. Kobe is just from another planet. He is unstopable!
I'm actually really surprised, and maybe even a little impressed with the Spurs this series. I've definitely gained more respect for them. Coming into the series, I expected this would be a long, grueling, stretch of games, with a lot of intensity and a heated atmosphere. I kind of expected some trash talking and guys getting into each other's faces, but I witnessed none of that. If anything, the Spurs were the classiest team we faced. They didn't talk shit like the Nuggets, and even through the entire Brent Barry fiasco, they never said anything negative about our team, or the call, even though they may have felt differently (You know the Nuggets would be bitching to the media as much as possible). They certainly weren't as dirty as Boozer/Harpring, and their fans certainly were not any worse than the fans in Utah. All in all, I'm really surprised with the way the Spurs handled themselves.
According to various reports, Bowen told Kobe to bring the championship home. (probably to L.A. or the Western Conference). I don't see why that's hard to believe, Pablo. Bowen's got so much respect for Kobe, and Kobe does for Bowen. Nothing like the best perimeter defender and the best player in the game going at it.
Considering Bowen is a CSUF alumni, he probably meant bring it back to LA. EDIT: It's been confirmed in another article that he meant the Western Conference: http://www.dailynews.com/lakers/ci_9434603
