They've had a lot of success with 50+ win seasons and reaching the conference finals the past several years.

But going into this off-season do they decide to try another direction or come back with the same core?

    1) Will Flip Saunders be back?
    2) Rasheed Wallace and McDyess will be in the final year of their contracts
    4) They've got some young guys in Maxiell and Stuckey + Amir Johnson and Afflalo
    3) Billups is signed for 3 to 4 more years
    4) Prince and Hamilton seem the most likely to stick around of their veterans while Billups and Wallace might be moved if they head in another direction.

Anything of interest there for the Nets with the Pistons?

Sheed might be interesting, although I'm not sure how much of a post threat he'd be.

They're right there. I would say they need just one more player to get them over the hump. Much like Sheed did for them in 2004.

I'd be very interested in Rodney Stuckey or Maxiell.

I only see the coach going. They have a very solid team, this year more than last year I'd say. I don't see them making any huge trades or anything like that. though, I wouldn't mind having rip, stuckey, or maxiell (all 3 who are key players to the current and future Pistons IMO )

I'd love to have J-Max on this team. Only interest I see them having in us is Sean Williams and maybe Marcus Williams.

I know it's frustrating to keep getting to the CF and losing, but there is a lot of luck involved. A bounce here, an injury there and you are champs.

If you make drastic changes and get too far away from your current level, it's so hard to get all the way back - especially when you have no superstar.

The Pistons should keep what they have and just develop their young players to keep their older guys fresh and rested.

You can get a lot of years out of older players if you manage their minutes properly.

They had injuries to Billups and Hamilton. Without those injuries, we would've seen a Detroit-LA finals.

The Pistons are one player away from being real contenders. Tho I think Sheed may be showing he's long in the tooth.

McDyess should be their 6th man. He's a fine offensive player and rebounder, but not much on D.

Detroit had numerous mismatches with PJ Brown desparately (and failing) to guard Sheed. In one game, they went to Sheed 6 straight times and it turned into 5 baskets or FTAs. Why did they stop? That's coaching.

Exactly why Jason Kidd plays at such a high level at his age.

i don't get why detroit would blow things up... they went to the conference finals that means they're close but not quite there... i would add one more impact player and see how it goes. probably a big man and have mcdyess come off the bench.

no way detroit would trade stuckey... they absolutely love him. J-max maybe, but i think they really like him too. They are pretty much they're future and are solid role players off the bench right now.

Pistons need a better coach and one impact player.
