Denver was the easiest team to beat though, I'm sure you guys agree. It was a walk in the park with those guys, who never defended and seemed like they never cared that they're in the playoffs. Utah was a real test, but I would never consider them a top team, and no, Deron is not the best PG in the league. (paul, nash, billups, etc). I actually think Farmar is at the same level as Deron, too bad Phil doesn't start him. San Antone, never really tested you guys, they're an old team, and their window has closed, and I don't see them winning a championship with the same team anymore. Shouldn't have won last year either, if it wasn't for LeBron and his team not showing up.

We're not Denver you know.</div> I guess that means we're not the Hawks or Cavs either, since they were able to win 3 straight home games against you guys </div> Re-read what I said. You will not win 3 "straight" games (when you're at home). No team has won 3 straight games versus us. And you only did it to Denver in the first round. </div> The 3 in a row thing doesn't mean as much coming from over there. Plus The Celtics have looked rustier in the playoffs. The Lakers have gone up against more elite teams consecutively than Boston. They just got out of the most competitive year in the West with a 12-3 record. </div> So you think going through Cavs (last years finalists) and Pistons (who every year contend) is easy? All I'm saying Huevonkiller is neither team, meaning neither Celtics or the Lakers will win 3 straight games in this series. It will go back and forth, and 2 will be the most one team wins, in which case the series could end up being won in 6 games. (thats what I think, I could be wrong)
Farmar has been mostly garbage the second half of the year. We're lucky we got anything out of him against San Antonio, and he's nowhere close to being Deron, let alone a starter for a full season.

KG is our ONLY concern. We have trouble guarding the 4 men, and KG is the best in the league. If Pierce catches fire, he will be a problem too, though with good defense, we shouldn't worry about him. Ray Allen will be a non-factor throughout the series. Look for Fish to have a GREAT series, and Kobe will play like the MVP. LA in 6.
That's funny, as I think Ray Allen is going to be the X factor. Pau can match KG's production and Kobe's production is superior to Pierce's. It comes down to Odom and Allen. If Odom continues to play like he has since we've acquired Gasol, I just don't see Boston, even being one of the best defensive teams in the league, can hold down our offense.
When Garnett's in the game, he should give the Lakers fits. However, when PJ Brown is in the game, the Lakers should go to Gasol every time down the court until Rivers is forced to take PJ out. There is no mismatch at the 4 spot because whatever positive is in Garnett's favor is easily wiped out by the Celtics having to play PJ Brown. The key is to get Perkins into foul trouble early and then take advantage of the mismatch. Both teams feature a big 3. Celtics have Garnett, Pierce, and Allen while the Lakers have Kobe, Gasol, and Odom. It seems lately that maybe Odom and Allen haven't been the most consistent, but Odom does more things (like rebound) that gives the Lakers an edge at that spot. Kobe vs. Garnett, call it a draw. Pierce vs. Pau, edge to Pierce. After the big 3, the Celtics have the edge at 4 and 5 (Rondo vs. Fisher, Posey vs. anyone on the Lakers at SF). The keys to the series, as I see it, are: 1) Lakers win if they take advantage of mismatches 2) Celtics win if they play Pierce at PG (point forward, whatever) and the Lakers have no answer. 2-3-2 is what Lavalamp wrote - really tough on the favorite, but there's 3 games of pressure on the underdog to win at home - a loss in the first of the 3 means they have to win four straight while facing elimination.

Honestly, Rondo is going to have his hands full. Fisher aint finished yet
