Alright guys, keep kissing Kobe Bryant's ass. Because Minnesota didn't get a 21/11 player that earned 18 All-NBA votes or one high draft pick (their own pick that we returned from a previous deal involving Ricky Davis and Wally Szcerbiak) and another draft pick that belongs to us. They also didn't get Ryan Gomes, a player that grew into a starter for them and has the potential to be a key bench player for a championship team. They also didn't get Sebastian Telfair, who started PG and played VERY well for them for most of the season (the games that I watched at least). Gerald Green..well I'll say he's a ****ing bust no doubt. But that deal wasn't "unfair" at all.

No question for me. I rooted for the Lakers in the 70s and 80s against the Celtics, nothing's changed. Even moreso that I appreciate PJax as a person and coach and want to see him succeed. And... TMac is a point forward.

The Celtics are only so widely disliked because these people all root for teams that got crushed by the Celtics in the regular season. And they're bitter
The Lakers have been more impressive lately, I think that is also why people like them more. The Celtics are a talented team but they seemed to struggle against the Hawks/Cavs.

You don't want the Lakers to win because of Chick Hearn, but isn't it the same for the Celtics and Johnny Most, cpawfan?
Also, I would hate to see KG win a ring. He's easily one of the most over-rated players in NBA history. I don't think there's ever been a player other than him that had such pretty stats and such minimal impact on games.

Lakers. I'll be rooting for the Lakers, because after the Super Bowl, I'm really starting to like the idea of a team from Boston shoved down everyone's throats by the media, saying how they're so good and how they're the favorite to win the title. And then they get to the championship and it's back to reality. To me, a Boston team building up so much excitement among its fans and the media and then losing to another team in the championship is wayyyy better than them sucking and being under .500. I'm sure Boston fans feel the same way about New York and other teams, specifically the 2004 ALDS and Super Bowl XXXVI.
