Sheed up for grabs?!?

all depends on what direction the pistons wanna go. should be interesting to see what happens.

 

I would love a trade for Marcus Camby, the Nuggets are looking to clear some cap, and his name has been mentioned about being traded. The trade works financially, and both teams get what they require, Detroit, an excellent post defender and rebounder, and Denver clears some cap space, while gaining a solid big with range out to the 3, and a solid defensive game.

 

Be careful with Camby though NTC, Denver fans complain about him chasing weakside blocks and not being as dominant as advertised one-on-one in post defense.

On average he misses over 20 games a season too.

 

yeah, it looks like the time to deal Sheed. A Camby deal would help out both teams, sure Camby's had a history of missing major time but he has played in at least 70 games the last two years (79 last year).

With Saunders gone, and possibly Avery in, keeping Sheed for a bit more may be worth it.

 

I don't think Avery would tolerate Sheed going nuts during games, and doing whatever the hell he wants. Remember that Avery is strict and doesn't get called Little General for nothing.

If that's true, the Pistons could have a high risk/high reward type of situation with Avery.

Well, Avery could help Sheed out...as in, prevent him from getting techs by being strict on him, and try to get him the ball in the post more than Flip ever would have. He could positively affect Sheed's game.

Or...Sheed could really dislike Avery and his strictness, and try to rebel/get Avery fired/demand a trade.

 

It would be interesting to see it happen though.

 

Sheed is not as volatile as he was before. Now when he gets Ts it's usually simple emotional outbursts, rather than the prolonged energetic hate that seemed to be seeping out of him every time he opened his mouth, ala 5 years ago

When healthy though, he is certainly a worthy investment.

As NuttaMan mentioned, he has managed to play at least 70 games in each of the last two seasons, while averaging good defensive numbers. He can also pass the ball, which is quite rare for a player like him.
