I heard a rumor that miami would probably want to trade down if derrick rose is chosen by the bulls, and that the nets were interested
could this be it? the scoring power forward we were all waiting for?
i think it could happen if we trade our first 2 or all of our picks

If Rose goes #1 there is no way in hell that Miami is trading their pick. They get their pick between Beasley and Mayo which is exactly what they are looking for.

This is just mind games by Riley imo. He wants Michael Beasley, and is trying to make Chicago pass on Beasley. Rose/Wade doesn't really make too much sense, but Wade/Beasley makes tons of sense from a basketball stand point.

Beasley isnt exactly "The big man" every team wants... He is a 6'7 maybe 6'8 sf/sg . He sort of reminds me of Tmac. Also why would miami trade their pick? They wont. No need to. Also if the Nets trade for Beasley RJ has to be gone. We need beasley at SF

I was gonna ask if the rumors were true in regard to Beasley's Height being closer to 6'7" and not 6'9"-6'10". Is 6'7" the official Pre-draft height? Where is the list posted? Either way I'm just hoping Minnesota get Mayo...he's what our team needs. But if Miami takes him...I'd certainly be happy with Beasley!

SG/SF? LOL. You're as silly as the guy who called Joe Alexander a SG. Beasley will measure at about 6-8 and a half. If he reminds you of T-Mac, you obviously never watched the guy play, that's ridiculous.

I've never seen Beasley play, but from what I've heard and read he doesn't play anywhere near the style T-Mac does...

Anyway, there's no chance of us getting Beasley, not in a thousand years...Miami won't give up their pick just because Derrick Rose is gone, both Mayo and Beasley are excellent, young players with a high ceiling...why give up on them? And you're proposing trading the #10 and #21 picks for the #2 pick? This isn't NBA Live, sorry to disappoint you. Why don't we just add Richard Jefferson and they'll throw in Wade...I mean, their ratings are pretty close aren't they?

Oh no...not the 2nd rounder...I mean, there are like 5 guys rated 65 in the 2nd round, wouldn't wanna give up a shot at picking one of them. Not even Wade+Beasley are worth that.

Now I just read that there are rumors about a Wade + #2 pick to Chicago for the #1 pick and whatever. Even though to me this doesnt make sense, it is floating out there.

No way we can get involved with this Miami and Chicago ping pong match. This is like playing Cooties(I really doubt I spelled this right) when you were a f'en kid. You got the Cooties! No you got the Cooties!

How do we with the f'en #10 pick get involved in this nonsense? I dont see it.

Beasley played center in the Big 12. He is a PF/SF that can play either position equally well. It comes down to which position a team wants him to play and then how Beasley further develops his body. He can easily add or cut bulk.

Beasley to me reminds me more of a Much Better Lamar Odom then T-Mac. Where T-Mac is SG/SF, Odom is SF/PF. Beasley like Odom has range but can post up on you.

When Odom came into the league, he wasnt big enough to play PF. But Riley [IMG] made him bulk up so he could play the 4.

Beasley a SG lol that's funny.. His game is nothing like T-Mac idk where that came from. CDR reminds me a lot of T-Mac though. He just has to improve that shot.

Would Carmelo Anthony be a good comparison for Beasley?

No, Carmelo Anthony was good enough to get his team an NCAA Championship. [IMG]

Seriously tho, idk, I'll let KC answer this since he's probably seen Beasley play more
