Simple... Resign both to contracts worth 8 - 9 M a year. That way, we value both of them equally LOL!!!
Well you're clearly dodging the question. Championship runs from Kobe won't always be possible, we're playing with fire if we keep Bynum over LO.
It's a complicated question because we don't know two important variables. 1. How healthy is Bynum and how bad is his knee? 2. How much is it going to cost to keep Odom after his current deal is up? If Bynum is going to be healthy and able to return next season then he should be the priority regardless of Odom's contract situation. Ideally we'd want to keep both some how, but I think finding a player like Bynum is harder to achieve than replacing Odom.
I haven't seen evidence that Pau can't play center over the course of a season. Pau looked bad in Game 1, yet he'll be useful enough for us to win this thing. I'm not even sure Bynum can play center for a full season, so the point is moot.
The only reason Bynum wouldn't be able to play center for a full year is because he might get hurt. Pau can't play it because he's just not big enough. He's got the height but he's not that big or strong. And he's a huge softie. As much as I like Pau, he's playing out of position and would be MUCH better suited playing PF alongside Bynum at center.

The Lakers are going to break up a proven championship squad? That's why I doubt it.

We still have the whole next season to figure that out.
Hey we got 4-5 games left, we'll see what happens. I doubt we lose the series, yes call me crazy now if you want.
This game makes me wonder about Odom. We made our comeback with him on the bench. He really played poorly tonight. He took a lot of bad fouls and really kept himself out of the game. That's my biggest issue with Lamar. He takes himself out of the game. He lets the officiating get to him and then just takes some stupid, stupid fouls. Despite making the comeback in the 4th without him, I still think we need him to win this series.
His best play tonight was throwing the ball of PJ Brown's head while he was falling out of bounds. You're right Mook, Odom takes himself out of games because he can't control his emotions. I thought he'd play with some passion tonight after his post-season quotes from Game 1. He said he needed to get 15 rebounds for our team to win because it allows him to push the break. I thought he'd deliver on his words, but he was crap again tonight for us.

And this is why I'd take Bynum over Odom. Odom has disappeared in these first two games. I'm thoroughly convinced he can't handle the pressure. Remember when he tackled Ray Allen in the regular season? He's mentally weak. Huevon, you can't convince me otherwise.
I will convince you if the following occurs: First he has to start playing to his season average in the post-season, then we win this shit. After that I know I'll be right.
Did you guys hear Odom's interview with Matt Money Smith prior to game 1? His voice was shaky .. I knew then we would play this series without him
Odom is a mentally weak player, Huevon. You can't change that. Bynum is a confident mother fucker. He's got a chip on his shoulder. I love that.
All we need is for him to play well at home, and then we can let the real pros handle Boston after that.
i´m with huevon, i won´t give up on lamar.he just needs to find his confidence and then everything will be all right.
