<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Mark Jackson said he's over the sting of losing out on the New York Knicks' head-coaching job to Mike D'Antoni.

Ready to broadcast the Lakers-Celtics mega-matchup, Jackson said, "I'm over a lot of things in life. I'm excited about being able to call the NBA Finals. I have an outstanding job. I'm having the time of my life."

It looks as if he'll lose out on the Suns' and Bulls' coaching jobs, too.

"I was honored to be considered [by the Knicks]," Jackson said. "I'm also honored to be calling the NBA Finals. Things work out for a reason."</div>

IIRC the main reason he left was because it was extremely inconvenient for him to get to work.

Mark's not coming back to YES. He was only there because the Nets were considered to be a contending team in the East.

    That's bull.

The reason he was here is because he had zero broadcast experience, and Marv Albert offered to get him the job and help him learn to do it well.

That has to be one of the most idiotic things I've read the past few months.
