<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Baltimore Orioles RHP Steve Trachsel has had a trying 2008 season. He has made eight starts and is saddled with an 8.15 ERA in 38 2/3 innings.

Earlier this week manager Dave Trembley said that Trachsel will be pitching out of the bullpen for the forseeable future. However the length of his stay there could be brief. Radhames Liz was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday to take his place in the rotation. In addition, Baltimore needs another bench player, which means Trachsel's time in an Orioles uniform could be over.

Trachsel spoke with Baltimore Sun writer Jeff Zrebiec during spring training and told him that if the Orioles let him go he would probably retire. He has no interest in going back to the minors.</div>

Wait...he hasn't retired already? Someone is still paying him to be a major league pitcher?
