Good, I really like Hodge and I'm pulling for him. I didn't know he put up those numbers overseas not bad.

I looked at his stats. If he pans out, this would be a good first or second move by Kiki.

Every year I tell myself not to even bother looking at summer league rosters and stats (how is Nets savior Robert Hite doing?), but every year they suck me back in.

I was not a big fan of Hassan Adams. I liked Hite a little more. Instead of giving $4 million to Jamaal Magloire and $1.5 million to Armstong and Allen, it would have been better to spend some of that (about $1.3 million) on those two and the rest on Posey.

No more money for retreads! The desire to take vets on the wrong side of 30 has killed this team's bench, hurt player development...Players like Lamond Murray who hasnt played a minute since leaving the Nets, Scott Padgett who played 232 minutes, Cliff Robinson who was smart enough to retire after his final contract were a total waste. (Again, the Nets had to pay Cliffy $500K to Robinson and $400K to Padgett in the year after they left the Nets)

I have seen a lot of Julius Hodge because he went to my school for college, he is a good all around player, he is clutch and can handle himself well on the court. He got ACC player of the year one year and runner up one year which is big considering all the good players like Chris Bosh, Chris Paul and Raymond Felton who were around then. He is really good driving into the paint, but needs to improve his outside range.

I note that in 16 games in the NBDL, he didn't take a single three pointer. In the 12 games in Australia, he was 4 for 8, but 3 for 3 of that was in one game. He is also turnover prone. In the D-League, he averaged 3.3 and in Australia a whopping 4.0. Not good against inferior defenders. (Both leagues are very fast paced)

Still, he had some amazing games. In the D-League, he had games of 30/15/6; 33/10/6; 34/12/9; and 26/10/7. In the NBL, the same thing: 29/10/4; 31/14/9; 37/9/6; 25/12/13; 39/10/5; and 34/14/3.

He's great to bring off the bench especially b/c he can rebound. He would even fit in perfectly with the 1st string if somebody needs a rest b/c he can run the floor w/ Harris. He'd be a great pickup. But, we still have to address the perimeter shooting. Is Vujucic still available or did we work out a contract w/ LA? He'd be the perfect fit, energy, shooting, and defense off the bench.

Vujacic is a restricted free agent. The Nets can't offer more than the MLE. Would the Lakers match? They might. The Nets could do it, but all their MLE money would be tied up for a week. So if another player came along and wanted the MLE money, the Nets wouldnt be able to make an offer until the Lakers decided what to do.

Yeah, I'm still iffy on Vujacic cause it's his contract year... but there's no doubt he's improved his play.

I think the Lakers will end up signing him unless some extremely retarded GM gives him the whole MLE
