I just picked the game up after it fell to $10 at Walmart, and already Im disappointed....1st, USB controllers dont work, so I may have to go out and buy a specific controller if I want to play without the keyboard, but even more disutrbing, I start the Dynasty Mode and Josh McRoberts is the #1 rated prospect....Josh McRoberts.....Oden went 4th, Durant went like 15th....not cool
Cool! The Blazers got the top rated player 37th! And the fourth rated player as well! Where was Rudy rated?
If you learn to patch, there are always good mods out there for EA games. Start here and poke around a little. It can probably make that suckass game pretty damn cool.
The ratings do suck for NBA Live 09. I bought it when it came out the first day, and McRoberts is rated number 1 and it's stupid. A Tucker who is drafted by the Suns scores like 26 a game with 5 rebounds and 6 assists to average throughout the season. Oh well, I still find it fun.
Huge mistake buying NBA Live. I don't know about the PC, but on the PS2 they mess up on ratings so much and left out a lot players. Try finding Conely Jr., Yi and Noah. They also have players like Almond, Tucker, Williams, McRoberts in the 80's and Durant and Oden in the 70's.
It is crazy...everytime I do a fantasy draft before a season I always find Horford along with other good rookies as free agents after the draft...lol...I mean c'mon...Horford as a 74?!?!?!? WTF!!!
I spent last night going through a season, manuevering to gain cap money, and scouting the draft.....at the beginning of the offseason, I win the lottery(with the worst record, which almost never happens) and I go to the draft.....but to my surprise, all my scouting was useless because the order in which they were in during the season is totally different than in the off season.....the guy that was the #1 prospect when I was scouting isnt even a 1st rounder....since I was unprepared I reset and went back to the end of the season to take some notes....but to my surprise, when I get back to the draft screen, the order is completely different again....now the guy that originally listed 1st, is 3rd, and the guy that moved up to 1st is out of the top 10.....so now I do some experimenting....each time I start the offseason, the order is flipped randomly....Im not too thrilled since Dynasty Building is really the only thing I care about....

And who's bright idea at EA Sports was it to stop making it possible to intergrade the NCAA players to the draft? if they still do it with Madden why stop with Live? There's nothing I like more than playing College 2K and bringing in the those players to the draft. My boys and I would put in all the biggest names and even ourselves on the college teams watch them leave for the draft and them play a dynasty. It was always fun as hell, trading up in the draft to get Beasley, Rose and Mayo and even ourselves!! What I would love the two series to incorporate in their basketball game is the option to relocate teams like in Madden. I swear, St. Louis needs a team....lol
