<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>There will be no perfect specimen available when the 17th pick in this month's NBA draft rolls around, leaving the Raptors to find someone with flaws that are at least manageable, if not entirely correctable.

And as the latest workouts at the Air Canada Centre concluded yesterday afternoon, the team's brass was satisfied that a couple of intriguing possibilities had answered a question or two about themselves.

For Chris Douglas-Roberts of the Memphis Tigers, it's difficulty shooting from long range; for Brandon Rush of the Kansas Jayhawks, it's proving that he's fully recovered from a serious knee injury.</div>

Just trade the pick with TJ, who cares about the draft, the team is young enough

You gotta give credit to our staff for organizing a workout like that. Its rare these days to see well-known prospects to take the risk of working out against players of their calibre.

I'm not sure if you guys have been listening to Jim Kelly's audio clips (on raptors.com), but apparently Brandon Rush came off really good in this workout. He didn't show any ill-effects from the injury and Kelly had nothing but good things to say about him. CDR also had a good workout, but apparently there was a little concern over his jumper. There wasn't much of a mention of Bill Walker, who's injuries I think have precluded the Raps from taking him at 17.

So far, Brandon Rush and Robin Lopez have gotten the best feedback from out workouts.

Just as long as you leave 1 for the Nets... [IMG]

Honestly, I still have a tough time choosing between the two.

Hearing about Rush's knee just makes me wonder what might've been with Danny Granger...

Shake needs an alternate option for when his Juan Dixon jersey is in the wash.

After continually reading about Rush I would really love for him to fall to the Raptors with the 17th pick. Like stated above his injuries in the NCAA are reminiscent that of Granger's injuries. CDR on the other hand is projected to go 22nd overall and Rush 15th so hopefully Rush's stock could drop a few spots because I could see CDR being available by the time we pick.

    I framed his jersey.
