how can you say what he's saying has no credibility when fans have been questioning this for some time now????

Fans always want to believe their team got screwed. Plus the refs in the NBA are less than perfect and are going to make bad calls. Everybody views this particular series as a fishy one, which would be a perfect reason Donaghy would pick it to make up some bullshit.

like I said there's a difference in making a "bad" call and totally blowing a game

that's the thing, what makes it bullshit??? Seriously 27 FTs in one quarter, you had experts saying this was atrocious....to turn a blind eye to this is foolish........

Like I said, give me proof and I will gladly believe. I loved that Kings team and I hated the Lakers and always will. I remember that series like it was yesterday because the Celtics were in the ECF that year so I was heavily interested in the playoffs. I would love for it to be true, but I need to hear some evidence other than "Donaghy heard".

Stern and the NBA would be so stupid to do this. I have a lot of trouble believing they would risk so much to make a few extra bucks. I also don't think they would put so much faith in referees to carry it all out and keep it a secret when anything can happen and a ref can turn on you at any time.

Ralph Nader is going to drop the hammer on the NBA. He should run his presidential campaign on bringing down the NBA. He might be able to sweep the deep South.

Just wondering, I heard the Houston/Dallas series a while back was kind of fishy as well, with Houston getting the lower end of the stick. I'm just wondering, if this is all true, then why would the league conspire against the Houston Rockets? Having Yao Ming in the Finals would instantly draw millions of extra viewers overseas. Meaning more money for the league

I believe the conspiracy is that Cuban paid off the refs, or bitched to them enough to cause them to change how they officiated the series.

Then why did the exact opposite happen in the finals? The Mavs were the ones getting screwed...

Come on Dream, the Wade series was fishy as hell. For anyone except their fans.

I don't need other Pat fans lecturing to me about asterisks either.

Is that what they would call a cheap shot?

I think Congress might stick their noses in it, I don't know if Nader has much weight anymore though.

I just find it funny how David Stern tells us Donaghy is a liar in regards to these new accusations, yet believes him 110% with his other confessions about betting on games etc.

Here is a news story with a video, showing some of the fouls in the game, including the elbow that Bibby got.

I'll never believe what Phil says, he's the biggest lier, whiner, bulls*itter in the history of the game. He had luck with having the best player ever, the GOAT in Jordan, and then the second best ever, in Kobe, together with Shaq, and thats how he won those championships.

Did you guys know the Kings were +13 from the free throw line in game 2 of the 2002 WCF? The Kings were +20 from the free throw line in game 3, and +10 from the free throw line in game 5 (Shaq got 1 FT attempt). The Lakers were only +3 from the free throw line in game 7, and the Kings shot 16 of 30 from the line in that game. Game 7 was officiated pretty fairly, the Kings just choked. As for the entire series, overall, the Kings shot 204 free throws as opposed to LA's 185. So in other words, the Kings shot 19 more free throws than the Lakers in the series. So yes, game 6 may have been unfair, but the Kings still had a good opportunity to win the series, but they choked, like they always do

(I found these stats from another site btw)

That doesn't matter at all, what matters is whether the game was fixed or not. The integrity of the game.

I never really mentioned a "conspiricy" in the post. I don't know if Game 6 was fixed or not, and I'm not going to get into it.

I'm just saying, for anyone out there who thinks the Lakers didn't deserve to beat the Kings, the Kings did have opportunities to advance, but they choked, which is something those Chris Webber teams were known for
