MADDEN RANKINGS ARE OUT!!! Monday, June 02, 2008 Posted By Chris Littmann 12:15 PM Friday afternoon, Madden 09 QB ratings hit the web. Now, thanks to the fine work of Pasta Padre, we've got all of the ratings for Madden 09. I won't ruin all the fun and will give you the same opportunity to waste some time at work today, but here are a few highlights: -- How is Jeff Garcia (89) higher than Derek Anderson (88)? Anderson was a machine last year, and he has the chance to keep it up after the team added Donte Stallworth to the offensive mix. -- Philip Rivers really bought himself some cred with his performance late last season. He's up to a 90. -- Calvin Johnson, despite the injury issues last season, jumped up and has the same rating -- 92 -- as teammate Roy Williams. -- Eli Manning is up to a 93, nipping at the Tony Romo's heels (94). -- The mixed bag of Bears receivers includes Devin Hester (81) slotted as the No. 2 receiver. You can bet that speed number is probably at or approaching 99. --Adrian Peterson is only a 95. I'm shocked. I thought we'd have our next Bo Jackson/Michael Vick video game superhero after AP's breakout last season. -- Rookies that you'll care about: Rashard Mendenhall (81), Joe Flacco (79), Chris Long (84), Darren McFadden (85), Jerod Mayo (82), Jonathan Stewart (83), Vernon Gholston (82), Matt Ryan (83), DeSean Jackson (78), Jake Long (86), Felix Jones (80), Glenn Dorsey (84), Chris Johnson (77). Link: http://www.sportingnews.com/blog/the_sport...dden_09_ratings ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Damn, I was hoping for "AD" Peterson to be more than a 95, but Mario Williams is already a 97!?!? ...oh well... Let the complaints begin With the following link you can go to each teams game screen depth chart and see the players ratings....enjoy!!! Dang, I thought there were more Madden Fans than this.....hmmm...maybe I'm crazy that this was exciting info for me
Eli's too high. He should be at about Philip Rivers' rating. I generally like the Giants ratings though. Our O-line ratings are ridiculously good, so that maybe should've been toned down a bit. I'm a bit disappointed that Justin Tuck's only a 94, but I can see why they'd be hesitant to bring it up more when he's yet to be a full-time starter. With Strahan's retirement, I'm predicting that Tuck's rating will be higher than Umenyiora's in the next game (seriously, that dude is going to be a beast this season).

The Giants Off-Line is killer. It's funny that it still has Strahan (probably for only one season in this game). Did you see that Mario Williams is already a frickin' 97!?!? crazy stuff! but "AD" is a 95?!?!? "Bad-ass" Bob Sanders made 99!!!

The dude's an incredibly gifted athlete, and physical ratings are usually weighted higher in Madden (or any EA Sports game). AP should definitely be rated higher.

I also saw that Reggie Bush dropped about 5 points to 85....lol
Yeah Baby!!! Minnesota's Big three on D. Pat Williams -92, Kevin Williams - 97 & Jared Allen - 97!!! I'm gonna love playing my Vikings in 09!!!
Chutney, I thought the same thing (OL ratings), but then I looked around at the other teams.... every team's OL is overrated... In reality, Kosier should be low-mid 80s at best (he is an 89, should probably be an 83/84). Colombo is an 88 and should be a couple of points lower, Gurode is a 94, and should be a couple of points lower..... but then I compared their ratings to players I think are comparable, and its right in line with them. I think Madden just overrated OLs in general. We'll see on Anderson. Garcia was a better QB last year. Complaints about my team: I think the OL is overrated. Gurode should be a 92. Kosier, let's say 83. Colombo, let's say 85/86. Davis and Adams they had pegged right. I think our DL is underrated. Ratliff and Canty are several points underrated and Spears should be a couple points higher too. The DL was very good last year. Zach Thomas is probably overrated. Greg Ellis better be nothing more than a pass rusher..... There are some other oversights, specifically certain attributes..... Stanback's speed at 88? LOL... OK. That's Crayton's speed (somehow, IIRC, he ended up with 91 speed?) Barber has 91 speed?
