Even though Dallas should have won against Miami, they still choked. That is their problem.

It is on one's team to ensure the victory, those other excuses are not acceptable. Refs and all that shit need to be put aside, only the W counts. I'm all about two things, Post-Shaq, and Results.

The Celtics come back from the biggest 1st Q deficit in Finals history. Ray Allen came up big with that defended reverse lay in, as well as good ballhandling under pressure and cutting quick to the hoop. Pierce was a huge catalyst during the push, attacking the hoop hard and had played great D on Kobe. KG with some big shots as well during the push. And Posey with the nice defensive move on Odom pulling the chair, as well as that really difficult 3.

no, this was different, The C's finished the comeback !!!!!!

    hell yeah!!

I've waited 22 years to see this happen again! man it feels so great.. I don't see us losing 3 in a row, with 2 at home. Not with the crowds we get in Boston!

it's so great to win #17, but even more rewarding is the fact that the Lakers are the victims. Wow poetic justice for all the crap we've had to endure the last 17 years.

yeah, it is. Have the Lakers played a FULL game this series and made you think they could beat the Celtics 3 times in a row?
I haven't seen it. Last night was their chance for a blow out and they choked the entire 2nd half away.

yeah but the big 3 are all over 30, it's a short window we have. Hopefully the C's success will draw some more vets who want to win though and we can add a piece or two and be as strong next year too.

It's highly improbable that the Lakers will win 3 in a row, but it's not out of the question.

The Lakers have not played a full game where you'd think they're a better team, but neither have the Celtics. Also remember, this series could be the other way around, if the Lakers succeeded in their comback vs us in Game 2 and succeeded in keeping the Celtics from coming back in Game 4.

I think I'll cheer for the C's until we get 4 wins. [IMG]

If the C's win, who is the MVP? It probably should be Ray, but something tells me Pierce will get it no matter what.

^^ It's a tough call, but I think Pierce actually deserves it. Allen has been quite big games 3 and 4, I loved his reverse layup past Gasol, and attacking the hoop on Vujacic. But Pierce has been big in his playmaking and scoring in the halfcourt, I think he has been clearly bigger for the Celtics in game1 and game2. Game4, I think Pierce got the edge. Game3 was all Ray Allen.

and PJ Brown has been really solid this series. I thought the Celts would have struggled a lot more having Perkins out.

    Ray- 20 ppg 52%fg 6rpg 3 apg 2topg
    Paul- 19 ppg 45%fg 4 rpg 5 apg 4topg

Tough call... I think it will be decided by whoever does better in the deciding game (if they win, of course).

It will probably be Pierce who might get 30 next game and just edge Allen. Also if you take into consideration all the series, Pierce was the better player.

And i know the award is supposed to be for the finals only.

Personally I would give it to Allen, the 3rd star on our team who came up big in the last few games.

I'll wait one game more and see if I agree. What's the rush?
