Uh, at first I wasn't about giving him the full MLE, but now...I'm convinced. Maybe he'll take around $4?

Well he won't be getting over MLE money, that's for sure. The only two teams this offseason with cap space are Memphis and Philly, I don't see either teams throwing big money on Machine. He'll be back next season, I'm not really worried. Mitch said that his number one priority this offseason was to retain Machine and Ronny, and I'm pretty positive both will be back next season As for accepting 4 million a year, I wouldn't bet against it. He's been in Los Angeles for quite some time now, and he's good friends with Kobe and a lot of the teammates. We've also stucked with him for the past couple of seasons, even when he looked like he belonged nowhere near an NBA court. If you take all that into consideration, plus the ability to contend for a championship for years, I don't think he's going to go anywhere

With how he's played, I'd be more than happy to give him most of, if not all the MLE. He's improved by leaps and bounds this year and has been great this postseason.
Good call, never thought of that. Regardless, that's still about what we should be looking to offer him is that MLE type of money.
