But there was someone like Yi last year demanding that he be drafted in a highly Asian populated area or else there was no chance he would be coming to the NBA. Well the Bucks took him anyway and he came. I'm pretty sure if the Nets passed on him at 10 teams wouldn't be scared of him saying where he would like to play. So I don't understand what all the commotion is about.
if Gallinari was available at the 10 spot... there is no way the nets pass up on him, hes worth the risk at the 10 pick, and kiki and rod are in love with players that understand how to play the sport... its not bout the flash of the person (dunks and put backs) but its solid fundamental players they go after. and like what someone else said, lawrence frank plays guys with high IQ... why do you think jason collins got so many freaking minutes

If I have a mid 1st round pick in a deep draft I wouldn't waste it on a player that may not even come play for me. I'm waiting for the day that an agent goes and gets an offer from a big European team for his US college player and uses that offer to dictate where his client wants to go in the draft.

We actually have room to spend some money now that Kidd is off the books.
