    My hatred of racism is not exclusive to those in the Democratic Party, although I do blame the Democratic Party for the current state of the family in this country.....there are racists in both parties as well as indepentents and non-party affiliates....Im not a Dem or a Rep....im a Jeffersonian Constitutionalist....I believe in the ideas expressed in the Dec. of Indepenence and the Constitution the way they wrote it....I believe all men are created equally with certain unalienable rights, among which are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness....I believe that government should not be involved in the church, and not the other way around....I believe in the right to bear arms and assemble peacfully....i believe that God should choose if a baby lives, not a woman....and i believe that its a fathers responisibility to take care of his family, not the governments....I hope that clarifies to you who I am a little better, so you can stop trying to impugn my intergrity everytime I disagree with you....ive taken the liberty of linking Dictionary.com at the bottom in case you need help understanding any of this....

Beef was commenting on a picture in the thread, it was a joke, and you made it mean something completely different in here.

    And uh, you seem to be religious. I have a completely off topic question. Do you believe the world is going to end in 2012? If you do, and if the world doesn't end, does your God not exist?</div>

    I don't think the Bible is a book that should be taken literally. With that said, I don't think there is anything in the Bible that says the world is going to end in 2012, that is the Mayan calendar, and I believe has nothing to do with the Bible.
    </div>

    Exactly, the Bible Code could be used to find anything. The Mayan calendar ends in 2012 but their calendar is linear. The world will not end, according to their calendar, but there will be a change in the world order and the calendar will start over. The last time their calendar ended, Spanish conquistadors almost wiped them out. I'd say that would be considered a change in world order.

    How is the Democratic Party responsible for the state of the family in this country? That is on the individuals.

    If there's a tape, it'd be best used (turn up in the public eye) right around ... November 4th or so.

    October surprise!

    The Democratic Party, under the authority of 2 sitting democratic Presidents, Franklyn Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson, introduced programs that destroyed family values, particularly in the black community, by making it unnecessary for a father to be present to complete the family dynamic....these programs are known as "The New Deal" and the "Great Society" legislation....this and other liberal legislation, along with support laws, make it possible for woman to have sex with many men, outside the confines of marriage, and know that they will be taken care of....before these laws were enacted, single parents were very rare because it was such a struggle to survive as a single parent....the ones that were around were generally widows or widowers.....at that time, men took responsibility for their families and wifes stayed with them because they needed them.....that has not been the case for several decades....

    If you need evidence, take a survey throughout your family and the family of your friends, the predominant scenario will be that your generation grew up in a 1 parent home, while your parents grew up in a 2 parent home.....of course that wont always be the case, but more often than not, it will....my parents split when I was 11 years old, my grand parents are still together on both sides....I fit into the scenario perfectly....

    LOL, Beef.

    I'm not a fan of FDR or the giant govt. social programs, but I wouldn't peg the issue of family troubles on the things you say.

    The pressure is on people to marry and stay married because it takes two incomes these days to have the basic standard of living you used to have on one.

    The invention of the "pill" may have a little to do with young men and women feeling like there's less risk of pregnancy if they have sex.

    That said, I absolutely feel the Democrats have done nothing but harm to poor and black (poor being a code word for black) people while they struggled for progress. In fact, they've been the party of the KKK since the invention of the KKK (go figure). While in recent years, they pay lip service to policies to help black people, the result has been terrible rates of unwed mothers compared to other ethnicities, entrapment in a cycle of poverty spanning generations, horrible public schools in black neighborhoods, and that sort of thing. To this day, I cannot fathom why democrats think the education "system" is more important than educating the children, or why they oppose vouchers which black people REALLY want (and for good reason).

    Democrats ran congress and the white house for 12 of the 20 years from 1960-1980 (both houses of congress for that whole time) and the result was 20% interest rates, 20% inflation, and 8% unemployment with top tax rates at 70%+. They ran congress and the white house for 2 years of the Clinton administration, too. It's not like they didn't have their chance to pass legislation to actually help "poor" people.

    Most gains by black people (and women, too!) happened in the years from 1980 to the present. Reagan, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush, Bush. That'd be 8 years of democratic presidency, the rest republican. The senate was republican from 1980-1986 and from 1994-2006. The house was republican from 1994-2006 as well.

    And I don't even like the republicans, I just call 'em as I see 'em.

    Sadly even if there is a tape of Michelle Obama I highly doubt it will do any good. Democrats proved they could care less about the actual politics and issues of this campaign when they made Obama their nominee. He is quite possibly one of the most inept presidential candidates in history. I have never in my life heard someone talk so much without saying anything of substance. Great public speakers make good speeches, most of the time they are awful presidents.

    btw, saying someone resembles something is not the same as comparing them to that same something....in the other thread Chutney suggested that McCain looked like a burnt Nazi and Darth Sidious....does that mean hes comparing McCain to a Sith Lord? just as ridiculous
    </div>
    I actually was making that comparison, but your argument is right nevertheless.

    Good catch BG on the similarity to the novel. If Barack picks a Hedge fund manager w/ morals we may be in trouble.

    This was not the best Stephen Frey Novel I've ever read; the whole Christian Gillette series is weak IMO.
