Lampard to reunite with Mourinho <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The arrival of Scolari to Chelsea has very much coincided with Mourinho’s hiring at Inter and since both managers have an eye for pressing the reset button on their squads, transfers are in the air. Reports say that Scolari is willing to bring Deco to Chelsea in a bid to strengthen his midfield (and increase the Brazilian contingent at the club), while Jose Mourinho is looking to do a similar thing in Italy. La Gazzetta Dello Sport reports that Jose Mourinho is close to bringing Frank Lampard to his club and that Chelsea will no longer completely reject the possibility of the move since they could bring in Barcelona’s playmaker. Frank Lampard’s contract with Chelsea runs out in 2009 after negotiations have stalled over the past year and it is likely that the player might be able to leave for a cut price as Chelsea will want to avoid losing him for nothing in one year’s time.</div>
Looks like the hiring of a hand full of managers at separate clubs is doing wonders for neutral football fans.
I don't think Chelsea will miss Lampard that much. I've never liked him personally. Can't wait to see what players Scolari brings in.
I think any club, no matter who you bring in, is going to miss someone who is the seventh best scorer in your club's history and only been around for seven seasons. Not to mention that he's an iron man when it comes to playing. What was it, I think he played every match for Chelsea for four straight seasons before getting sick? That's a record in England I believe. Of course there are better offensive options out there, but considering all of the above, that's quite a loss to be honest.
