<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>A familiar face popped his head out - Sean Williams. "Please write that Sean Williams weighs 240," he said stepping off the scale. Done. Williams is working extensively with Vandeweghe, widely regarded as an exceptional teacher of skills. "Kiki is trying to stress not wasting energy and movement, things like that," said Williams. Ever see him play? "No," Williams said. "I heard he could score. But I don't see how he averaged 29 points." He did. Believe it.</div> New York Post Nets Blog Before you get too excited, SI.com had him listed at 235, so it's only a small increase. Still, I'm glad to see he's putting on weight carefully while keeping his ass in the gym. Sean will dominate next year.

If Sean learns positioning on D he'll become huge asset for the Nets. Hopefully, for years to come. Though I still expect him to struggle a little bit in the next season.
Always good to hear. I want him to be a force to be on both sides of the floor next season. Perhaps, be a full-time starter, as well?
ya, i remember sayin his downside was character, but looks like the kid is growing up... hopefully he stays on the right track
I seriously doubt he was 235 at the end of the year and have some doubts he was even 235 at the beginning of the year. You would like to see him at 245, I think...Amare like.
I'd like to see him do well, I was hoping he would slip to us at the 15th pick, but I don't think we would've taken him even if he was available. I've definately been keeping my eye on him.

Other than being a little immature and not playing nearly enough basketball, there was nothing wrong with Sean Williams. It certainly isn't surprising that the Nets are giving him a lot of attention or that he is working hard to improve his game.
Yeah I agree Sean could be a beast next year if he learns the basics of the game. and doesnt foul so much.. lol

Any time a rookie steps up big in the playoffs, you know he's gonna be good (see: Dwyane Wade).
Great to see Sean working on his game if he can improve his rebounding, positional defense, and add a go to move or two on offense he will definitely start at PF.

There is immature where a guy is a trouble maker and not very smart and then there is the immature where someone is a goof ball slacker that makes some childish mistakes. The more I see Sean I definitely think he's later. Smart guy who just needed to grow up a little and learn about consequences. Zach Randolph is the type of immature you want to avoid. Too stupid to learn about consequences.
I hope he really is 240lbs and didn't just say that while rollin his eyes b/c he's only like 220lbs. I love that he's spending his offseason workin with Kiki.

I hope the nets dont give up on this kid. He is going to be a good player for a long time. I see him as like a joe smith type player with better defense and athleticism.
