My dream draft now is starting to look like this: Westbrook - solid athletic combo guard and defender Rush - wing player who can shoot and defend well Hickson - big with solid post game Only problem is we need a pick higher than #40 to get Hickson. Wonder if Minny would be interested in #40 and Marcus for #31 if Hickson is still on the board there? If we can pull that trade off this is a possibility. I would settle for CDR at #21 if Rush was gone. Harris/Westbrook Carter/Rush/Ager Jefferson/Hassell Boone/Sean/Hickson Krstic/Swift Pending trades and free agency.

I'm just hoping he makes it to 21. He's a fast riser, watch out.

Or Houston for #25. Both really need a young PG to groom and its a thin draft for PG in that area. Nuggets want Lawson, but if he's gone they could look to deal. Would be nice to get him, but I want complete players like Westbrook or Rush with the other picks. If Hickson was better defensively I think he'd be a lock for #21... maybe #10. Otherwise, he would be a great situation subsitution when we need some points in the post. Would Boozer be a more realistic upside comparison than Brand? If that's the case I could see using #21 on him.

Wow! As I said before, Westbrook and Rush fit together and taking them says to the coaches, players and fans "The Nets care about defense, that's who we are." That's a message I can really get behind. Realistically, the third pick in that draft would be tracked by NI for the next three years. I would love to trade up for Hickson, but I doubt the Nets will sign three rookies this year.

Depends on what they do with Jefferson and trades. If Marcus is gone I think they could keep 3. If its the 11th, 12th, and 13th men on the bench I don't see why not. Boone proved last year he can be a starter so he is no longer considered a young inexperienced player in my mind. Sean proved he has the making of a rotation guy in his 2nd season.

I could see him becoming a plus defender, due to his strength and size, while I'm still not sure why Boozer can't become even an average defender. I love the fact that Hickson KNOWS he's strong as an ox and likes to go inside and use that, unlike a lot of these puss big men who want to take jumpshots. Don't forget that Hickson is only 19, also.
