    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (huevonkiller @ Jun 13 2008, 01:11 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>http://www.sports-tube.com/watch/053d309b6...e-Bryant-game-4

Thought this would be important for the Laker people to watch.</div>

Why? It's just words bro, that's all. Yeah, might make me feel a little better, but at the end of the day, we're down 3-1 in the NBA Finals. You know, that stage we've been trying to be at for the past few years. Well, now we're year and we just laid a big ****ing egg.

You know what, I'm not giving up on the series. But, I am giving up on this whole "Kobe killer instinct" idea. I thought Kobe wouldn't let us lose Game 7 in Phoenix, he did.

I thought Kobe wouldn't let us blow a 24 point lead in Game 4 of the finals, and he did.

He's still my boy and my favorite player, but let's put that to rest....like, now. He's only one player, and while he is the best player in the world, you can't do nothin' 1 on 5.

I'm still in shock that the Lakers could give away such a crucial game and instead of playing at home tied 2-2, we are 3-1, and in horrible shape.

I still believe, but just barely. My heart can never say never. It IS only one game at a time, but we got Game 6 and 7 at Boston. And unless this team becomes ridiculous focused and realizes the task at hand, we're done.

Kobe always had the killer instinct, he just can't win every single game for us with his will.

I believe more now after chilling out after the loss.

And I posted this because I just thought it was interesting.

Is ill questioning Kobe? C'mon bro...

Like you said, he can't win 1 on 5. He got his teammates involved. What did he have, 9 dimes? He can't control how Odom and Gasol produce. Odom had a good first half, and then disappeared..completely. Gasol didn't have an impact all game...****, all series he has only been consistent on defense.

I thought the key part to our downfall tonight was when Luke was brought in over Ariza in the 2nd half. Luke came in and missed two wide open shots, turned the ball over another time, and I believe he might have blown an inside shot. I'm so sick of him and I'd trade him for a turkey sandwich, if the NBA would approve. He is 6th man on a D league squad, he isn't NBA talent.

He had 10 assists, and no I'm not questioning Kobe.

But people need to give it a rest with the "Kobe won't let us lose this one, or Kobe will make sure we win Game 5.." etc.. It's all a crock of shit, Kobe can't do nothing by himself.

Ease up on Lamar, he had a great first half.

What the **** was Kobe doing in that 2nd half? I understand the facilitating in the first, but wtf man? What kind of shot selection was that? We were beating the Celts by 20+ without Kobe's scoring, so why doesn't Kobe do what was working? If his god damn jumper ain't falling, take it to the hole. Kobe's the best in the world not for his jump shot, but for his all around game.

I put this loss on Kobe and Phil, no one else.

Pierce locked Kobe down in the 2nd half. Along with Battier's D on Kobe, that was some of the best defense on Kobe I've seen. The C's were throwing 2-3 guys at him, to help Pierce, as well. They were simply not going to let Kobe get going offensively. Odom disappeared in the second half, again. I mean, I didn't know David Blaine was on our team, but apparently, he is.

you are right luke is garbage like odom trade them for jermaine oneal:D:D:D

why dont we try a different lineup i would put mbenga in the middle gasol on the power forward spot, ariza at small forward and the backcourt line would stay the same kobe 2 guard and fish at the point and then we bring odom of the bench!! what do you think you dont have anything to lose???!!!

Oh please, ease up on Odom...he was like 7-7 first half and finish 8-10 and a double-double with 10 rebounds.

How can you even begin to place this loss on Odom? Look in the mirror first bro, Kobe is at fault, and he KNOWS it.

That doesn't alarm you? 7/7 first half...and only took three more shots the whole game!?!?!

He was aggressive in the first half! He demanded the ball! He was driving, posting, hitting jumpers...in the second half, he started watching Kobe. Kobe didn't even fuckin' dribble that much. Odom disappeared. I don't know how you can argue that he didn't.

Dude, our entire team blew the game away in the second half. Kobe was always facilitating.

Odom didn't create anything for himself in the second half, Gasol looked flat out surprised when the ball was passed to him at various points. Kobe took just 19 shots, and many of them after we started to spiral down.

Exactly Mamba, NO ONE HAD IT GOING IN THE SECOND HALF.

I mean, you obviously do not BLOW a 24-point lead and have ANYONE come out on top for you team.. THey're all to blame for the loss, every single one of them. But for you to single out Odom and not give Phil, the bench, or Kobe their part in the loss before others baffles me.

I mean, wtf does Odom have to do to be on you people's good side? We win this game and everyone celebrates Odom on what a great game and first half he had. We lose and they want his ass traded. That makes NO sense to me.

The Lakers really seemed to stop going to Odom, in the first Q they would feed him the ball, let him work at the top of the key, let him be a playmaker. The Lakers were getting the ball to Odom on like 2/3s of the possessions. He didn't have the ball as much in the 2nd and Kobe was more of the playmaker/scorer after the 1st Q.

I put this lose on the team as a whole. I'll admit that I was disappointed in Kobe alot during the second half but we all tend to forget that he isn't Superman. He can't always save the day. No one can. I put alot of this game on Phil. There in the 3rd when Boston started to climb back in, they got away from team ball and everyone kept giving the ball to Kobe. After that didnt work the first couple of plays Phil, should have called a timeout, and told the guys to play team ball. It was like they said. "Oh shit! Here comes Boston! Get the rock to Kobe every single possesion! It's on you now Kobe!" Anyways thats just how I feel about it. It was a team lose. You cant put a collapse of this magnitude on any one or two players. Did Kobe play like Kobe? No. But he wasn't the primary reason this happened.

P.S. I've been a huge Lakers fan for about 9 years now. Ever since I was old enough to really understand the game. This lose felt like the biggest most disappointing one I've ever experienced. More so than when they finally lost to the Spurs after the 3 titles and more than any other big ones. Anyone agree that this one hurt the most?

^ Yes this lost hurts a lot. We had the game at halftime but then it slipped away. But the series isn't over until it's over. The Lakers still have a chance. I believe the Lakers can do the impossible. Let's Go Lakers!!

Heuvon I'll extend the offer to you, but I don't think you believe the Lakers will be champions like Dynasty does.

    U before E. :[

Offer accepted. The deal is you have to wear whatever I say (as long as it follows the S2 guidelines).

Or if you have some funny sig which either of us could wear, that could work too.
