Thanks! SportsNation Chad Ford: Veteran point guard or small forward. I keep hearing Richard Jefferson's name the most.</div>
If we draft Danilo, I wouldn't be suprised to see him go. I don't know what the Blazers could/would be willing to give up for him though.
If we think Danilo or Boki can start next year, then Outlaw would probably be the main piece. Otherwise, Webster would be the main piece. LaFrentz would probably be needed to make it work salary wise. Pryzbilla would be an attractive piece, as would the #13 pick. If we could somehow get Rudy, I think we'd pretty much have to. Including a Marcus for Jack or Sergio part wouldn't be surprising. As I see it, I'd expect something like RJ+Marcus for Webster+LaFrentz+Pryzbilla+Jack+#13. Which would give us some decent pieces for the future, and also make our bench pretty awesome for now.
The Raef LaFrentz contract is very appealing. That would be the start. There's also a lot of young talent on the cheap - Outlaw, Webster, Frye, Jack - as well as picks (13) and unsigned rookies (Fernandez). Portland has a lot of assets the Nets could want - but I think Portland can use them to get someone better than RJ.
I'm pretty sure Ford's sources are much, much better with the Nets than with the Blazers so I take Ford writing that as NJ trying hard to push an RJ to Portland deal. Now add in that Thorn will want far more than KP would pay for RJ and I don't see RJ wearing a Blazers uniform
we'd have too many picks and young players... i'd try and do a 3 way trade... RJ to portland, NJ first round and portland first round to clippers and other pieces for a trade for brand somehow

I know that Zach Randolph for Richard Jefferson was a big rumor before we traded Randolph, but you'll have to talk to the Knicks about that now. I haven't heard much about Richard Jefferson coming to Portland since.
