Who do the non Wolves fans on here think we should draft at #3 and why? I am really curious to know because all my friends who know basketball here including myself want Mayo, even though I know there are Lopez fans out there. So, just wondering.
Mayo. He's the BPA after Beasley and Rose, and would be a welcome addition to compliment Big Al on the outside. He and Foye could be a good back court, and I don't think it means they are giving up on Foye.
Well, there are rumors that Miami might want Mayo. That might be just rumors, tho. So obviously, you take whoever is there - either Mayo, Beasley, or Rose. Those 3 seem like the top players in this draft.
Mayo should be the choice, but there a couple things working against that. 1) McHale could screw up. He is McHale after all and Kevin Love can talk his ear off about how much he worshiped McHale's game. 2) Mayo wants to go to a big market and so far is refusing to work out for teams with picks 3, 4 & 5. DX is saying he will hold a workout for just Chicago, Miami, New York and LA.
Lopez will be the best "need" pick IMO, because the Wolves need a big man, Big Al & and Lopez will be such a great duo to watch in the future once their skills are developed. But this is the NBA, not the NFL, in the NBA Draft you pick whoevers the best prospect where in the NFL you pick a player to fill the needs. So that's why you'll take Mayo (or unless Miami drafts him you take Beasley) And I would like the Wolves put Foye at SG, and keep Telfair at point.
