I just watch Woods miss a put that would have won the US Open and fall to his knees as he watched it track, then get back up without any pain....does that sound like a guy that was using his 3 wood as a cane just 2 days ago? A guy that was grimmacing for the camera after each shot coming down the stretch?

Could it be that Tiger was making more out of his knee injury than was real either for competitive advantage or to enhance his rep? Suspicious in my opinion....

    Insignificant issue.

And I don't even like Tiger that much.

You really dont think theres signifigance in finding out that Tiger was faking those grimaces, if in fact he was? At the very least, its facinating to watch him operate....

Can't really comment since I've just been reading updates. But where's the motive? Can any of us think any more of Tiger? The dude's pretty much golf's equivalent of Superman.

Without searching for motives, which I believe could be competitive advantage over the other players(I beat all your asses while hurt kind of sentiment), just consider this: At the end of Round 3, you could see him limping and he was in pain....in the next 2 days, he walked 9 miles, stopping every few 100 feet to hit a golf ball under maximum competitive stress....and at the end, hes able to drop to his knees and got back up without showing any signs of physical pain....im just saying its a little odd....maybe he was on pain killers

I'll have to catch the replays when I get home. Although I will add that there's something to be said for adrenaline.

I believe he fell to his knees because he missed the tournament clinching put, I don't remember him grimacing during that specific time. He was grimacing throughout the tournament though, and it was more than likely legit. He just played 91 holes since Thursday of pure walking. That's going to take it's toll on on a left knee that has had three operations so far.

What does it have to do with sore losing? You think Im secretly Rocko Meatiate? Im not a fan of any golfer, but I did the playoff interesting....Im pointing out something I noticed, and wondering out loud if, for whatever reason, he embellished the situation....Its not like Im a journallist, writing for a newspaper or a media outlet here, Im a guy on a message board who comes here to talk about sports....

Pretty sure he aggravated the injury during the tournament, hence taking pain killers the last two days.

He played against doctor's orders, hadn't walked 18 holes until the first day since the surgery, and then did it five times. That knee was nowhere near ready and I'm not sure how many people could have played that tournament and then the playoff. This sort of a thread is ridiculous. Go and hit a driver off the tee and then pull up immediately through the swing and see where the ball goes.

Will be interesting to see if he plays the British Open or not.

If your opinion is that he was on meds, I respect that....What does bother me about this thread is all the posters saying its ridiculous to post a theory like this....I don't understand why Tiger is deemed to be above reproach, especially since If he said 10 years from now that he was embellishing in order to psych guys out and gain an advantage, the same people would come on here to worship his wonderful stragety....

Well, he just won the US Open, so, as someone else said, he was pumped and the adrenaline let him do something he probably wouldn't normally be able to do. Tiger is a tough guy and I don't think he'd fake a knee injury.

Also, while you clearly love embellishing conspiracies, I thought the Schilling's a fake story died about two days after it started?

There are a lot of people that still believe Schilling ketchuped his sock, and although I dont buy into that particular story, I think Schilling is the kind of guy that would do that for the publicity....also, how have I embellished the conspiracy? I gave facts and then asked a straight forward question about those facts, then I gave my opinion....
