This guy needs some help. He hasnt been the same since Darrant Williams died in his arms....He needs a grief councilor and quick before this story turns even more tragic.... http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10868180
All the details haven't come out yet, but the point is that he was the victim of a violent crime, and robbery. That is unfortunate. He was in Vegas, on an off day, drinking and partying. I don't really blame him for that. People take weekend getaways to Vegas all the time, even senior citizens. Vegas is supposed to be a place that you are allowed to do that sort of thing, no matter who you are. What really bothers me, is where were his companions, and how long was he missing before someone found him on the street? Did he go to Vegas all by himself? If some random criminals did this, then did it even matter if he was drinking because they could have gotten him regardless? Need more details... In the meantime, he isn't going to be practicing or playing anytime soon. An eye orbital injury seems serious enough to keep a person out of action for as long as it takes to get to 100% healed. The eye is one thing you don't want to mess with by coming back to early. Does this impact the depth chart? Yes, but maybe not as much as people might think. Drew Carter has been connecting with J-Roc in practices more than any of the other WR's so far. At best, Walker was going to be the #2 before his eye injury. Ronald Curry has also been quietly working his way back into the fold after injuries, getting both lighter and stronger than he was before. Here is a strange, but possible scenario for getting help at WR. Lamont Jordan was given permission to get a trade. Denver could use Jordan, who employ a similar zone blocking system, after dumping Henry. It is not out of the realm of possiblility for Denver to make a deal with Oakland given the precedent set last season when we traded a low draft pick for Gerrard Warren. What WR would denver be willing to part with, is a good question.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Here’s Walker’s claim: “I was just back at my room and at about 5:30 in the morning, I got a knock at the door, I opened it and 3 guys with guns were there, they cracked me in the head a few times knocking me unconcious. They then robbed me of everything I had– my watch– money– everything! Somehow they got me to the car and dropped me off in the street. That’s what happened.”</div> Thoughts?
This has been big news all day here in Vegas. Apparently, he bought a $15,000 round of champagne for everyone at a strip club or night club, and then someone robbed him outside the place a few hours later.

They found him in the street on early Monday morning. That would mean that the two incidents were at least 24 hours apart. Say what you want about him wasting his money, but the two incidents might not have anything to do with each other. I'm still reading more accounts of what happened... stay tuned.
The news is on right now. They are definitely saying he was at the night club well into monday morning, and that flashing his money around may have been what attracted the thieves. He lost all the jewelry he was wearing and $100K in cash was taken, too.

"We don't believe this is a random act," Nichols told the San Francisco Chronicle, adding that police believe Walker was alone at the time of the attack. "They knew who he was and [Walker] presented a target. "We did get a surveillance [video] of a vehicle and suspects that may have been involved. We know there were suspects, possibly two [but] we haven't identified anyone yet." According to the Chronicle, Walker told police he had about $3,000 in cash and $100,000 in jewelry stolen. The jewelry included a watch, a necklace and earrings.</div> So far, it sounds like Javon is telling the truth about where he was and what happened to him. I think he could have chose not to flaunt his money around as much as he did. Apparently, the crooks were spying on him at the club and followed him back to his hotel.
I think that if JW was going to buy a bunch of drinks for people at the bar, he should have just started a tab, and used his credit card. Why carry $3k in cash on him? I never carry more than a hundred dollars in my pocket when I leave the house. If I need a little more, then there are ATM's everywhere. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>A fool and his money are soon parted</div>
