The Finals is over and we are not the Champions. In my eyes, that is a failed season. Now before I go on my Laker rant, I'd just like to congratulate the Celtics on winning the championship, big ups to you guys.

Wow. This season seemed to have went on so fast and for some reason we all have felt so glued to this team, even more so than we usually are, you all know who you are. We started off with turmoil and uncertainty, yet everything that went on this summer has only motivated us to come back this season and be better. We came in starting the season out losing the opener to Houston in a close game, then continuing on to play like a .500 team. Once December came, we went on a tear. Everything was clicking, from the bench to our starters. Then came the Bynum injury and the news of the Kobe pinky as well as the Ariza foot. Us fans went into a state of shock and panic. We worried over how the 2nd half of the season would play out and we worried about even making the playoffs in the tough, toughest I've seen, Western Conference. Then came the Pau Gasol trade, Mitch Kupchak pulled this one out of the hat. We went on another tear and we eventually took hold of the #1 spot in the Western Conference heading into the playoffs. The playoffs consisted of a very easy win against Denver, a physical test against Utah, and a shockingly smooth contest against the Spurs. Then came the Finals, and everything collapsed. Now the season is over and many options are open for us this summer. Whether it be trades, our 1 pick in the second round, or offseason work, we still have work to do and the season itself isn't over. It isn't over til that championship is ours.

Now here is not where I will post offseason stuff or any player bashing, I'll do it some other time and only if its substantial enough (unless I'm bored, then it's like NBA Live all over again).

I want to say that this season was awesome as a Laker and NBA fan. I enjoyed being here with you guys throughout the year and have so much respect for all of you. You guys are like my internet brothers, embarrassingly enough. I enjoyed every bit of this season and thank you all for being here with me. The best part of it is that there's more to come. More arguments, more debates, more hate, more profanity, more jokes, more laughing, more crude humor, more basketball, more Lakers, and more success. I'm glad that I shared this year with you guys, just like all the previous years since I happened upon JBB and now S2. So I thank you all:

Shapecity (we still need to play ball)
Black Mamba (S2 non-censorship helps [IMG])
    Brian (humorous and confusing)
Huevon (no statement that cannot be argued)
Moo (this is what you get for not living here)

You five are the closest people to me on this site. Not to say that I don't appreciate the rest of you, any Laker fan is my friend.

It's been a great year of basketball and a great season of Laker basketball. Thanks guys. Much love.

(I ask that no arguing goes on in this thread please. Also any person who comes in here posting to just hate and talk smack needs to just refrain from it at least for this one thread please, just please out of respect refrain. Thank You.)

Let's get it next year boys!

    Humorous? Yes. Confusing? Nah

Great post though, I enjoyed talking with you guys throughout the season. This season will definitely go down as one of the more memorable seasons in Laker history. Although we did fall short of the ultimate goal, nobody could have predicted us going this far in the offseason. It'll be interesting to hear all the new rumors in the offseason, because you know there are tons of rumors involving the Lakers every offseason. I'll be looking forward to next season, I can't wait to see what we can do with a healthy roster. [IMG]

Sounds fun Brian, I have some stupid Physics tests to take which are boring. I have to study this summer so I can make room for an internship next year.
