<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Blaugrana's technical secretary headed a small delegation that flew to South America on Tuesday in order to try and clinch a deal for the 23-year-old starlet.

After lodging a €10m offer last week, Barça were surprised to see the quotes asking for more than double that quantity, especially as Hernanes' agent claimed he was told €11m would be enough.

São Paulo president Juvenal Juvencio was adamant that there would be no deal for less then €25m andclaimed that neither Hernanes, Miranda, Richarlyson or Silva would be leaving amid reports that all four were set to go to Europe.

"This is nothing more than speculation," he said. "We have no interest in selling Hernanes or any other player.

"Talk of €11m for Hernanes is despicable. We will not consider even talking for less than €25m."

The midfielder is hoping to be given a few minutes for Brazil in their high profile encounter with Argentina on Wednesday and Begiristain will be in Belo Horizonte to see the game.

Then he will fly to São Paulo to negotiate with the club about bringing their asking price down and arranging a move for the player that has also been linked with both AC Milan and Inter.

Despite being focussed on that game, Hernanes is said to have told his agents to keep him completely up-to-date with any news from the negotiations.

A deal with Barça over salary and bonuses has been agreed with the player and he has already stated his desire not to miss out on the one-in-a-lifetime chance.</div>
