Being a huge college basketball fan, I already know about all of those players personally, but I'd still like a Jayhawks perspective on one player though - Sasha Kaun. I remember how he was a big-time prospect out of high school, ranked over players like Al Horford, and he probably could have been a mid-first rounder had he left early. He seems to be a hardworker, a hustle type of player, but he never really made that much improvement from freshman year to senior year. I'm sure he did little things to his game here and there, but basically, I see the same player I saw come into Kansas four years ago whenever I watch him play. So why do you think he hasn't improved that much, and do you think there's still any room for him to grow, worth an NBA team risking a second rounder on him?

alot of his lack of improvement was a few things
    1) early in his career he relied on his size too much, thinking he could do alot with his size alone
    2) Wright, Arthur both became significant options in the offense in his years at Kansas making it hard for him to be the top scorer/rebounder he need to be
    3) guys that size need to know when to foul, he didn't until this year
    4) Jackson improved so much, he needed to start and Jackson was a better team defender then Kaun, though Kaun is a better shot blocker

NBA wise he's a player teams should really look at in the 2nd round. 6'11" big body ad hes a super nice guy and very smart, he'll be a 12th man, but will love to be in the community and was a leader, though didn't seem like it, during the championship run. POG in the Elite Eight Game Vs Davidson

should be 5th Kansas player drafted, but could go ahead of Jackson because of size advantage

I'd be surprised if Kaun got drafted at all. Hes big and athletic and like you said VC, hard worker and lots of energy but he just flat out doesn't get it done on the floor. Hes what they call a grinder in the business world; has the motivation, energy, work ethic, etc. but for whatever reason he just can't get it done on the court. He just doesn't get it. It sucks to see a guy with his physical abilities and academic intelligence but intelligence in the classroom doesn't mean jack when it comes to intelligence on the hardwood. When I see Kaun I see a guy who jumps to block everything but rarely actually gets the block without fouling, terrible rebounding position/fundamentals, way too anxious and rushes everything, poor instincts, etc.

Tell me all you know about Jackson. The main thing being: why is he projected to be a 2nd round pick?

definition of work horse, showed the ability to want to develop his game and work hard, could be a poor mans Ronny Turiaf, or even as good as Ronny
just a complete work horse, and a positive influence to have around

Rush and Chalmers will win championships, they are built to win them, even before this year at KU but Arthur stats and talent wise will be the best NBA player
also Russell Robinson, if he plays in Europe, has a game that could translate well to the European game.

    he isn't 7 feet tall
    small for a power forward
    limited potential
older compared to rest of draft
weaker skill set then first rounders

Ah, I see. I see you said he had better team defense than Sasha Kaun in a previous post. How good is his defense? Whose would you compare his defense to, of the players currently in the NBA?

tough to say, but there were time hed be in the game and it almost allows other post defenders to take more chances, like Kaun, plays good positional defense, but doesn't block may shots, if he gets in foul trouble, its rare, he just doesn't take risks and forces alot of bad shots,i loved watching him and Aldrich in the game together, cause Cole has NBA type defense, block shots and good post D

Jackson is a low risk guy, but low reward but defensive he can grab extra rebounds and alter many shots
NBA comparison, cant think of one at this time
