So since it has so conveniently came up in the news on ESPN, how will you guys act towards Kidd during this summer? Will you watch the Olympics and say "that's my guy", or will you have a "screw him" attitude?
I'm rooting for Team USA, so if Kidd will help them then go Kidd. I'm sure Mark Cuban will be thrilled with the whole thing.
Team USA is so much better with Kidd running the point; I'm excited. He'll be especially important when we go up against Argentina and Greece

after what Chris Paul did this season it should not even be a question who should be the starting point guard. wait let me say this after what CP did to kidd in the playoffs it should not even be a question.

There is no debate. The Olympics is not the NBA.

He was one of my favorite players, but they way he left New Jersey has got to leave a sour taste in your mouth.
Kidd's never lost in the Olympics. Have to go with the sure thing, no matter how much better Chris Paul is than Kidd (and I'm not disputing that at all).
Wasn't Kidd on the Team USA in Sydney in 2000? I know he can go again, but that's just a rare occurance.
You can't deny that team USA played very well in the preliminaries with Kidd as the starting PG. Right now, Kidd's biggest weakness is defensive quickness, aka inability to stop quick PGs. International defense is more of a team concept than individual performance. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>after what Chris Paul did this season it should not even be a question who should be the starting point guard. wait let me say this after what CP did to kidd in the playoffs it should not even be a question.</div> Pretty much everyone who watched the playoffs or Dallas in general agreed that Kidd was severely misused in Dallas. Avery used him as an off-guard the majority of the time, and that's just idiotic. Chris Paul didn't "do" anything to Kidd during the playoffs. If you're trying to say he beat Kidd off the dribble, consider that 1) Kidd was never good at defending ultra quick PGs and 2) Chris Paul makes EVERYONE look bad off the dribble.
Let them settle it out in tryouts. Kidd is getting older, if he still has it, he can prove it in practice. Handing jobs over is dangerous.

I thought it was Jason Terry.
I'll be rooting for team USA so if Kidd plays than I'll be rooting for him...that being said Chris Paul and Deron Williams should beplaying PG.
