The other rumour I heard was the Giants shipping Shockey to the Dolphins for Taylor, with Miami then flipping Shock to the Saints for the deal that NY wouldn't do during the draft (Harper and a 2nd). That probably makes less sense.

It makes perfect sense in that the Packers could use a RDE to play opposite of Aaron Kampman. KGB is only plays on certain situation and Cullen Jenkins could give the Pack an inside pass rush that would replace Corey Williams. Plus Bob Sanders and Rob Nunn used to coach Taylor in Miami. Not to mention both Ted Thompson and Bill Parcells have a mutual friend in Ron Wolf who could have some pull in this type of deal. I think more over Ted Thompson than Parcells.

A lot pointing that this could be the place for Taylor but I don't think it'll happen. I think Miami is asking for a 1st but would settle for a 2nd. I also think that Green Bay wouldn't offer anything more than a 3rd even if Taylor tells them he's on board for 2 or more seasons. In the end both teams will be at a stalemate and both guys running their organization might be smart football minds but they're also stubborn.
