Does anyone think Paxson is actually going to trade the pick?

Oftentimes I read / hear... this pick gives Paxson some serious trade ammo.

I say no freaking way he uses the ammo.

I say they keep the pick. They keep Hinrich. They use this situation to bully Gordon in negotiations.

    No dramatic moves.

I say we keep the pick....

It will probably be used on Rose.

We'll keep Hinrich. Gordon is gone after this year.

We'll still lack a true scorer.

Has there ever been a first pick traded in the history of the NBA, or at least the last thirty years?

I think that's a good indication of what's going to happen.

I agree we won't trade the pick, though I don't understand why we would trade the pick either.

As far as Gordon and Hinrich, I think one of them will probably be dealt and it'll probably be Gordon because I simply don't see how we could play them both a lot defensively.

Hinrich, on the other hand, has a utility-man aspect to him that Gordon doesn't. He'll be able to take a lot of pressure off Rose for the first year or so offensively, and by virtue of being a bit bigger and a better defender than Gordon, he can play with him a little better too.

Down the road, I see Hinrich as being too expensive to be a really good 6th man, so I'd move him, but that's how I see him.

The "more ammo" would be too much depth at G so one could be made available in trade.

I'd have to agree with DC - that the pick should be available for trade, but only for a deal we can't pass up.
