I haven't heard anything about them working out with the Timberwolves. I know Oden and Durant worked out w/ Atlanta last year (Atlanta had the #3). Although the chances are very slim, there still is a chance that one of them, probably Beasley, could drop to 3
I would work out for any team, just in case of trade, but I know some of the guys dont want to go certain places, and so they refuse....Beasley is go in the top 3, so if hes not 1 or 2, hes going to Minnesota, he should work out there if they request it....
Did anyone else catch that online series with Mike Beasley on ESPN.Com where his teammate from Minnesota calls him after the lottery, and Beasley proceeds to rail on Minnesota? I don't think being drafted by the T'Wolves is his favorite option, haha. Besides, workouts aren't necessary sometimes. As most scouts will tell you, most of the emphasis goes into their collegiate/overseas production, and then the workouts are just used to clarify certain points of their game. If you're Derrick Rose or Mike Beasley, you know you're going to be a top pick just based on your collegiate production, so why bother working out with any team projected out of your draft range, even if it's just a pick outside?
