    Heerenveen Hope For Sulejmani Jackpot

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The 19-year-old Serbian international has been linked with a number of clubs, including Chelsea, Schalke, PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord, for the past couple of months, but it was Ajax who reportedly were ready to sign him in a 18-million Dutch transfer record five-year deal.

However, the saga is far from being over, as Heerenveen don’t seem prepared to accept that offer, reportedly arguing that selling Sulejmani to the Amsterdam club will not help him develop as a footballer because both sides will compete in the same European tournament next season, the UEFA Cup.

    As much as Sneijder

“There is a point when you say ‘We should let him go for that amount of money’. But that will only apply if a Wes Sneijder-like offer comes on the table.” Heerenveen’s general and technical manager Yme Kuiper has told Voetbal International magazine.

The reigning Johan Cruijff Schaal holders sold Sneijder to Real Madrid for 27 million on August 12, but splashing out that kind of money for Sulejmani is rather unlikely, even though the sensational attacking midfielder has agreed to join them. The ex-Partizan man is under contract with Heerenveen until mid-2010.

Meanwhile, Ajax have extended Donovan Slijngard’s contract by another year, up to June 30, 2009. The 20-year-old left back of Surinamese origin has only played once with the Godenzonen’s senior side, but hopes he can convince incoming coach Marco van Basten of his abilities.</div>

Never heard of this kid before, just looked him up and he's Albanian/Gorani born in Serbia, and will play internationally for them.

Just 19 yrs old with plenty of upside.

    Albanian? Not even close.

Hes pure Serb, hes just muslim cause his ancestors were converted by Turks.

Hes actually really good, and Serbia's team is filled with a ton of youth.

Albanians lived throughout Serbia as you know better than me. Sulejmani is how the last name is written in Albanian, not in Serbian, not in Bosnian, not in Turkish. It's very simple.

There are a lot of Albanians today in Serbia that call themselves Serbian muslims.

Well he seems like a good player, I don't think his abilities will ever be the best in his position in the world. But then again it is so early in his career.

    Colonel Ronan Continue...?

He's a nobody at the moment, and I am not sure if he chose the right club. Nineteen is a huge point in his career, and it's risky to even be moving clubs right now.
