<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>If Danny Ferry looked over the follow ing list of 25 of the top NBA draft prospects by position, he'd likely say 25 times, "He's a good player." The Cavaliers general manager goes to excruciating lengths not to tip his hand with regard to his team's plans for the No. 19 pick in Thursday's draft. Of course, this is preferable to flat-out lying, which is the tactic used by many league executives in the final days heading into the draft.

Ferry estimated the Cavs had about 50 players visit for assessments, including 6-8 Frenchman Nicolas Batum, who stopped by Monday. Ferry personally scouted about 30 of them during the season.

So what will the Cavs get at No. 19?

"Every player we'll be looking at at 19 will have a different story," Ferry said. "Some of them will be guys you'd like to see have an impact at some point this year. Some of them may be 18 months away from having an impact and showing that they have a chance to be a real NBA player. That's part of the challenge in making decisions draft night. I do believe we're very well-prepared."</div>

One factor to take into consideration is that the Cavs are widely believed to be trying to trade for at least one more pick in the Draft, as well as the possibility of trading #19, so they have to be prepared to pick no matter where they end up picking, else they'd have to either pick blindly or pick someone up too early. I like the way Ferry looks at a lot of guys, so he really knows how they compare to each other. Despite a few bad picks recently, I fully support him to make a good decision.

McHale will trade the Wolves' pick for #30 straight up. It is the Celtics, after all.
