Knicks will trade David Lee, Malik Rose and other considerations to the Grizz for the #5 pick and the god-awful contract of Brian Cardinal.

The Grizz will reportedly take Westbrook at #5 for the Knicks and then the Knicks would take Gallinari at #6.

Can't we make a better deal than that?

Nets would wind up with a choice of Bayless or Lopez...Robin Lopez

Bayless baby, I would not mind that at all.

Although, the thought of another twin wearing a Nets uniform sends shivers down my spine.

so if this is true, and Seattle wants Lopez, not Bayless...

    Rose/Beasley/Mayo/Lopez/Westbrook/Gallinari/Gordon/Alexander/?

we get whoever is left over from Love or Bayless. I love Gallinari, but that would be fine by me.

Hell, if Seattle wants Bayless, and Charlotte takes Lopez, Love would last to us...

This thread title is misleading. It's just a rumor, no? I had heard this before (on this board), as well as a Portland rumor, too. I can't see how David Lee and expiring contracts is worth the #5, but it is Chris Wallace

So the Grizz are trading the #5 pick for David Lee and to get rid of Cardinal's contract?

Pretty stupid trade. Especially since they are so under the cap that Cardinal's contract really isn't that big of a deal now.

Basically it's #5 for Lee. Taking Love at #5 would be better.

If this goes down, does Love fall all the way to us? Could be him or Bayless.

I don't see Minny taking Love when they have Jefferson.

I see it exactly the opposite, having a down low presence like Al makes Love an even better pick for them IMO.

I think Knick fans would riot if they traded David Lee. It's not happening. Nets should offer Milwaukee something to move up 2 picks and get Alexander.

    1) I don't believe Katz has good NBA sources

    2) I find it silly that Sam Presti would waste the 4th pick on Brook Lopez. He is too smart for that.

    3) Katz lists that as a potential deal, not a definite

Another Memphis trade: Conley and #5 for #2.

If the Knicks and Grizzlies work out a trade in the Nos. 5 and 6 spots, then the top nine could go like this: 1. Chicago -- Derrick Rose
    2. Miami -- Michael Beasley
    3. Minnesota -- O.J. Mayo
    4. Seattle -- Brook Lopez
    5. Russell Westbrook -- Memphis (for NYK)
    6. New York -- Danilo Gallinari
    7. LA Clippers -- Eric Gordon (or Jerryd Bayless or D.J. Augustin)
    8. Milwaukee -- Joe Alexander
    9. Charlotte -- Kevin Love

    per mr. katz.

Actually, I can see this happening. Sonics want to get an offensive Big to help Durant snce they cant works something out to get Beasley. The queston is why not take Love? The other issue is Bayless the right option for them at this pick. Bayless is a SG in a PG body and dont forget Durant is currently playing SG (which is weird but it is effective).

I doubt Kevin Love goes that low. Memphis is in love with him. They are not trading the pick if he is available.

so, um, as far as I can tell, the Nets did not work out Eric Gordon, Love, Westbrook, Brook Lopez, or Bayless--and now it sounds like there is roughly a 75% chance that they could end up with one of them.

They did work out Alexander and of course DG.

Not that it matters. . . although I believe that Sacramento is a team that traditionally only drafts players that work out for them.
