Queiroz: Ronaldo Should Stay At Old Trafford Carlos Queiroz <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Cristiano Ronaldo's compatriot, Carlos Queiroz, has urged the Portuguese winger to reject Real Madrid's overtures and commit himself to pursuing his career at Old trafford. Ronaldo, 23, is being linked ever more strongly with a move for a world-record fee to Spanish champions Real Madrid this summer. The player has so far failed to pledge himself to stay and see out his current contract with the European and Premier League champions. United have repeatedly stressed that Ronaldo, who scored 42 goals last season, is not for sale. And a man he respects, Sr Alex Ferguson's assistant Carlos Queiroz, believes the midfielder should stay put. Former Real Madrid coach Querioz said: "Manchester United is very special. Because of that we know how to surround Cristiano completely with all the affection and all the attention he deserves. "However, not speaking is the most sensible course of action at this moment, so that we don't contribute to a less than positive spectacle and so we don't aid those whose interests are difficult to identify." Queiroz has also denied reports that he could be heading home to Portugal to take up the national team manager's job following Luiz Felipe Scolari's appointment as the new Chelsea boss. The Portuguese FA aee seeking a replacement, but Queiroz explained: "I'm not going to put myself in the market. The decision on the national coach should not be a result of those who make themselves candidates, but a decision that is conscious, rational and based on what the federation judges is necessary for the team. "I'm not going to tell you whether or not I'm contacted. That way I know for sure that it will be dealt with in due form and in due place."</div>
A lot of Hype over this (Deservedly) I personally think it will be like the Gerrard to Chelsea Dilemma a couple years ago. He will be Reportedly inches away from Signing then all of a sudden he'll stay at Man Utd.

I'm scared that he might leave. </div> I wouldn't put any money on it but i just think unless Madrid come in with way over the top wages e.g. £300,000 per week then he won't budge.
The problem is that they're willing to pay any price to get him. They should have a salary cap like in the American sports. (except baseball) lol
To be honest, I'm done with this BS. I'm not reading anymore until I see "I'm Staying, says Ronaldo" or, "Real Madrid Sign Ronaldo for 56M".
I hate dramatic stories like this but I do see him leaving. Not that I am rooting for/against that though.
