It couldn't be that Ron Mexico might be guilty and not just a racial thing as Smith is implying IMO.

But.. he's 100% right.
I don't think he was implying a racial bias either. The truth is Michael Vick is probably not the only mainstream athlete that is involved in the world of dog fighting. If the Feds can get Vick to name names, you think they won't try?
I'm not defending Vick either. I think the alleged executions are beyond sick, but Emmitt is just speaking his mind here.

I read the article and I have to say....duh....his accusation is that law enforement is trying to use the most prolific person involved to get to others involed? umm, yeah....I dont think its fair to suggest that law enforcement has singled out Mike Vick, since they indicted 3 men on the same charges, its the media that singled out Mike Vick, which includes Emmitt Smith, and rightfully so....a very small part of the public cares who else is involved if they arent famous....
Perhaps Emmitt has been to a few in his life too....maybe he and Portis secretly enjoy that sort of thing....
There is no defense for what Vick did, IF he is indeed guilty of dog fighting. It's looking more and more like he is, but in this country it's still innocent until proven guilty.
If Vick is involved (and I believe he is), I hope the law and the NFL throw the harshest possible punishment at him. And not because of race... Because dog fighting is one of the worst crimes I can think of that doesn't involve killing a person.
