http://sportstwo.com/NBA/Story/NBA/2515304 Bucks grab Alexander with No. 8 pick Thursday, June 26, 2008 08:30 PM NEW YORK (Ticker) - Joe Alexander used a spectacular finish to his junior season to vault into the top 10 in the NBA draft. A 6-8, 230-pound high-riser from West Virginia, Alexander was selected No. 8 by the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night. The selection spoke volumes to how highly Alexander was thought of by Milwaukee, which earlier in the day sent last year's No. 6 overall pick, Yi Jianlian, to the New Jersey Nets for small forward Richard Jefferson. Alexander has many of the same attributes as Jefferson, showing an ability to score on the wing while coming off screens or pulling up off the dribble, but he also excels on the glass where he can outleap his opponents. Last season, Alexander became the first player in school history to post back-to-back 30-point games in 28 years. He also exploded for a career-high 34 points vs. Connecticut in the Big East tourney quarterfinals. Alexander combines breathtaking leaping ability with top-notch mid-range game - a rare pair of dominant traits - but does not have consistent 3-point range.
Hahaha ESPN's analysis: What does brook lopez need to improve upon? They said rebounding hahahaha For a 7 footer that has a 7-5 wingspan, rebounding should NOT be something you need to improve upon.
