If he's available, they have to take him. They already have a loaded team and adding another future star only builds towards even more power. Obviously not as title contenders, but definitely a playoff team in the tough West and they'll probably surprise a team or two in the playoffs, especially if Oden plays like a #1 pick.
Haha, Ajinca. Uber Bust potential. Jordan screws up another pick. When has a player who didn't play much for his Euro team ever do well in the NBA? I can actually see him pull off a Fran Vasquez and decide to stay in Europe.

McRoberts doesn't change the trade much, Bayless is just that good. But again, I still think Indiana didn't get ripped off here. They earned a very solid player in Rush.
http://sportstwo.com/NBA/Story/NBA/2515603 Raptors grab Hibbert at No. 17 Thursday, June 26, 2008 09:26 PM NEW YORK (Ticker) - Roy Hibbert most likely won't be wearing a Toronto Raptors cap for long. Reportedly selecting for the Indiana Pacers as a part of Wednesday's reported trade, Hibbert was taken by the Raptors with the 17th pick in Thursday's NBA draft. ESPN reported Wednesday that Toronto will send point guard T.J. Ford, center Rasho Nesterovic and the 17th pick to Indiana for Jermaine O'Neal. The deal was consummated after the two sides negotiated for almost a week but has yet to be confirmed. Hibbert averaged 13.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.2 blocks last season but failed to live up to expectations. He posted five double-doubles, including an impressive 25-point, 13-rebound game against West Virginia in the Big East tournament. It wasn't all easy for Hibbert, who also disappeared in many games, failing to score a point against Villanova in the Big East quarterfinals and posting six points and one rebound before fouling out against Davidson in the NCAA Tournament. Sometimes maligned for his herky-jerky style, Hibbert has good shooting touch for his size and even made all three of his 3-point attempts last season. Hibbert is not very athletic but usually makes good decisions when facing double teams and seemed to understand his role in the "Princeton" offense at Georgetown. The 7-2 Hibbert's point production increased during all four seasons and he was named to the All-Big East first team last season.
